METHOD

Soak all the above ingredients in enough water
for 1 to 2 hours. Grind them together with salt to
a thick batter. The batter should be thicker than
dosa batter. Add hing, curry leaves and cilantro to

• 1 cup Tuvar dal
• 1 cup Chana dal AVIYAL MASALA
• 1cup Moong dal • 1 cup grated coconut
• 1 cup rice • 2-3 green chilies
• 7-8 red chilies • 1 tsp cumin (jeera)
• 1 small piece gingerOptional • Grind these into a smooth paste.
• 1 tsp – Methi eeds
• 1 tsp Dhania seeds

DIRECTIONS


Cube the vegetables to an eve size. Add a spoon
of virgin coconut oil onto a pan and splutter
some mustard seeds, a sprig of curry leaves and
a little hing. Add the vegetables and give them
a stir with some salt. Cook the vegies in little to
no water in medium flame, covered. It will take
about 7-10 minutes for the veggies to get done.
