FIRST SLEEVE
With smaller hook, chain 66.
Row 1 (RS): Sc in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, ch 5, skip next 5 ch, *sc in next 3 ch, ch 5, skip next 5 ch; repeat
from * to last 2 sc, sc in last 2 sc, turn—25 sc and 8 ch-5 sps.
Pattern Rows
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first sc, *ch 3, skip next sc, shell in next ch-5 sp, ch 3, skip next sc, sc in next sc; repeat from * across,
turn—9 sc and 8 shells.
Row 3: Ch 6 (counts as tr, ch 2 here and throughout), sc in each st of next shell, *ch 5, sc in each st of next shell; repeat
from * across, ch 2, tr in last sc, turn—24 sc, 7 ch-5 sps, and 2 tr.

FIRST FRONT PANEL AND BACK PANEL
Row 1: Ch 3, dc in first ch-2 sp, ch 3, skip next sc, sc in next sc, ch 3, *shell in next ch-5 sp, ch 3, skip next sc, sc in next
sc, ch 3; repeat from * across, dc in last ch-2 sp, dc in last tr, do not turn—4 dc, 8 sc, and 7 shells.
Work foundation chains for back and first front panel: For back panel, ch 65, drop loop from hook, but do not fasten off.
For front panel, using a second ball of yarn, ch 64, join ch with slip st to first st of Row 1. Fasten off second ball. Pick up
dropped loop at end of Row 1, turn.
Row 2: Sc in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, ch 5, skip next 5 ch, (sc in next 3 ch, ch 5, skip next 5 ch) 7 times, sc in
next ch, sc in next 2 dc, (ch 5, sc in each st of next shell) 7 times, ch 5, sc in last 2 dc, sc in next ch, ch 5, skip next 5 ch,
(sc in next 3 ch, ch 5, skip next 5 ch) 7 times, sc in last 2 ch, turn—73 sc and 24 ch-5 sps.

BACK
Sizes S (L, 2X) only:

shell, *ch 5, sc in each st of next shell; repeat from * 6 more times, ch 2, tr in next sc, turn—24 sc, 7 ch-5 sps, and 2 tr.
Rows 2–11: Continue in established pattern.
Using smaller hook, continue in established pattern until second sleeve measures12"/30.5 cm; end by working a Row 2 of
pattern rows.

FINISHING
With WS facing together, folding sleeves in half lengthwise according to diagram, lay front panels over back panel. Line up
stitches, chains, and row ends. With yarn needle, sew sleeve and side seams.
Front Panel Border
Row 1: With RS facing and smaller hook, join yarn with sc in first st at lower corner of front panel; working along front
panel, sc in each st and ch to neck, work 2 sc in ends of next 3 rows across back, sc in each st and ch along opposite
front panel, turn.
Rows 2 and 3: Ch 2 (counts as hdc here and throughout), hdc in each st across, turn.
Row 4: Ch 1, working in front loops only, sc in each st across. Fasten off.
Lower Border
Row 1: With RS facing and smaller hook, join yarn with sc in first st of Row 1 of front panel border, working in row ends
across lower edge of jacket, sc in end of each sc and hdc row, 2 sc in end of each dc row, 3 dc in end of each tr row
across, turn.
Rows 2–4: Repeat Rows 2–4 of front panel border.
Fasten off.
First Cuff
Round 1: Using smaller hook, and working along opposite side of foundation ch of first sleeve, join yarn with sc in any ch,
sc in each ch around; join with slip st in first sc, turn.
Rounds 2 and 3: Ch 2, hdc in each st around; join with slip st in top of beginning ch, turn.
Round 4: Ch 1, working in front loops only, sc in each st around; join with slip st in first sc.
Fasten off.
Second Cuff
Round 1: Using smaller hook, join yarn with sc in first st of any shell, sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next ch-3 sp, sc in next sc, 2
sc in next ch-3 sp, *sc in each st of next shell, 2 sc in next ch-3 sp, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next ch-3 sp; repeat from *
around; join with slip st in first sc, turn.
Rounds 2–4: Repeat Rounds 2–4 of first cuff.
Fasten off.
Using yarn needle, weave in all ends.
