A Bad Day For Mary. By Willow Kane

This is a story about a girl named Mary. She has brown hair and
green eyes. She was reading a book one night, and she fell asleep and
forgot to set her alarm clock! She woke up in the morning and looked out of
the window and thought, “ It sure is a lot brighter out than usual.’’ She
looked at the time and it was 11:30. She always leaves at 8:45 and gets
there by 9:00. She was late.

She jumped out of bed and grabbed an apple. She was in such
a hurry She forgot to grab her phone!

She sped away in her car. Little did she know it was running out
of gas. Her car sputtered and then rolled to a stop, she was so scared
and she could not find her phone! It was a new way because there
were people on the road. It was storming like crazy as well. She
thought “ Oh what will I do? I don't know where i am. My car is not
working, I have no idea where my phone is.’’ She got out of her car
and started walking. The storm started, and she was cold. She
walked a few miles and found a farm. She went to the door and rang
the bell.

Someone came to the door, “ Who are you? What do you
want?’’ the women said.
“ I’m sorry to bother you but my car broke down two miles down the
road can I get some help?’’ Mary said in a sad voice.
“ Come on in I will get you some tea.’’ She said.

Mary got some tea and got some gas for her car. On her way out she
said “ Thanks so much!’’
She got back to the car and put fuel in it. She turned around and went back
to go the way she knew.
She got back to work and went to her boss, “ I’m so sorry I’m late . It’s been
quite the morning.
Mary said.
“ What took you so long?’’ he said.
“My car broke down, and I had to walk 2 miles to a farm and got gas from
there’’ She said.
“ Well, I forgive you. Just dont let it happen again.’’ Her boss said.
“ I won’t. I’m sorry,” Mary said.
