“HE’D DO ANYTHING FOR ANYBODY.”

A monthly publication for members of Heartland Power Cooperative | May 2018

FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS

TAYLOR BRUGGEMAN

On Sunday, April 22nd, we all lost a special friend
and co-worker when Heartland Power lineman
Taylor Bruggeman was fatally overcome by an
avalanche while snowmobiling in Wyoming.

Those who were close to Taylor know the genuine,
kind-hearted young man that he was. He will be
sorely missed by the cooperative, his family, and
his friends.

YOU KNOW THEY WERE
SPECIAL WHEN THE
GOODBYE IS SO HARD

Beloved son, brother, grandson,
friend, cousin, nephew,
outdoorsman, farmer,
co-worker, and power lineman.

Taylor Bruggeman was a lot of
things to a lot of people, and
truly cherished by all.

Is it time to get rid of your old, inefficient home appliances?

of June 4-8. We will have your old, but working refrigerator, freezer, or room
air conditioner picked up free of charge. Plus, we offer a $25 rebate* for
the recycling of each of those three items! If you have other appliances
you’d like recycled, our appliance recycling service provider may agree to
do so for a cost of $10 per item, to be paid by the member at the time of
pick up.*
Please call, email, or message Heartland Power on Facebook no later than
May 24th to participate. Our appliance recycling provider will call you the
week of May 28 to arrange what day they will be at your home.

TVs, DVD players, VHS players, or telephones will be accepted.

NEW LINE BUILD PROJECTS PLANNED FOR 2018

Heartland Power will be rebuilding over 25 miles of line this summer and fall. Some sections of poles have been
serving members since the 1940s. These improvements will enhance the cooperative’s ability to provide safe, reliable
service for years to come. Pictured below is a map of our service territory. Construction projects are planned for
portions of the sections highlighted in yellow. We hope to have all projects completed by 2019.
