LEARNING STANDARD :

7.1.2 Make generalisation that objects made from iron can rust.

7.1.3 Carry out experiments to determine the factors that cause rusting.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
At the end of this lesson, pupils are able to:

1. Make generalisation that objects made from iron can rust.

2. State the factors that cause rusting.

SUCCESS CRITERIA:
At the end of this lesson, pupils are able to:

1. Classifying the objects that can rust and cannot rust.

2. State the material used to make an object that can rust.

3. State the factors that cause rusting from the investigation.

1

A. IDENTIFY OBJECTS THAT RUST.
ACTIVITY.

**To record the observations, list the objects that are used in your investigation.
**At the apparatus and materials above : List the objects that are used in your investigation.

2

OBSERVATIONS.
** List the objects that are used only.

B. FACTORS THAT CAUSE RUSTING.

( Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan pengaratan )

SCIENCE INFO
1. Anhydrous calcium chloride is used to absorb moisture so that the

condition inside the test tube is dry.
2. Boiled water does not contain any air.
3. Cooking oil is used to prevent air from entering the water.

In the investigation:
1) TEST TUBE A.
- Has air and water
2. TEST TUBE B.
- Has air and no water
3. TEST TUBE C.
- Has water and no air
4. TEST TUBE D.
- Has air and water
