From the Senior Pastor

We sometimes have mixed feelings about the Bible. We and New Testaments that parallel one another, showing
usually like the New Testament a lot. We find it full of how one needs the other to be fully understood. We will
grace, forgiveness and hope. Then, we flip back to the catch a glimpse of how the Bible as a whole has a fierce
beginning of the Bible and our reaction is often quite edge but that indeed the entirety of scripture is underscored
different. Many times, we find the Old Testament full of by grace, forgiveness and hope. Let’s discover a love for the
wrath and judgment. So, we flip back to the end and stay Old Testament. We’ll also share a Tuesday evening study
there. The New Testament is where Jesus clarifies (10/30-11/20) at 7:30 pm to go more deeply into the Old
everything, after all. So, we ask, “What’s the point of the Testament. Bring a friend and join us for worship in
Old Testament anyway?” Can’t we just do without it? November!
Wasn’t that just the “dress rehearsal” for the real thing?
Wasn’t that just a rough first draft of the final masterpiece? Your Fellow Minister in Christ,

From November 4 through November 18, we’ll share a

sermon series called “So, What’s the Point of the Old Mark Mrini
Testament Anyway?” We’ll look at moments from the Old

The Bears are Back! If you need an extra hug Sunday morning, feel free to snuggle with one of the bears in our pews. If
you are aware of someone who needs a special connection, please take a bear for that person. We continue to accept
additional bears. Heartfelt thanks to those who donated bears to this special ministry.

Installation of an ADT Security System: Following concerns raised by Preschool Parents, we are installing a controlled

assess who is at the doors and grant entry as appropriate.

Please be patient as we all learn the ins and outs of this new system. For further inquiries please contact Ken Walper,
Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

Thanksgiving Grace Ministries! Your Help is Needed!

St. Stephen’s has a long tradition of feeding those in need in our community at Thanksgiving. Many, many hands and
