1.Executive summary

Script Killing is a role-playing game.Script kills quickly seized the entertainment
market for young people due to its strong social interaction, heavy interpretation,
puzzle leisure and other attributes. According to the "2021 China Script Killing
Industry Development Status and Market Research and Analysis Report", script
killing has become one of the mainstream offline entertainment methods, with 36.1%
of selected users. Driven by the early market education of table card games such as
Werewolf Killing and the promotion of script killing variety shows, script killing has
become a new form of entertainment. The report shows that more than 40% of players
play script kills for leisure and entertainment, 26.5% for decompression, social
networking, and curiosity-hunting experience are also important reasons. From 2019
to 2020, the growth rate of the script killing industry will reach 68% and 7%
respectively (in 2020, offline stores will be affected by the epidemic, and the growth
rate will drop sharply), and the industry scale will reach 11.74 billion in 2020 (BaiDu
2020). In this project, an offline script-killing store called K Detective Agency was
selected as a case study to study what factors are the main factors affecting consumer
satisfaction. After designing and distributing the survey, we have obtained more than
200 valid questionnaires. The questionnaire data shows that for an offline script
killing store, the quality of the script is the most important factor for consumers, and it
is their primary consideration when choosing an offline script killing store. It is also a
major factor affecting consumer satisfaction.

Regarding the quality of scripts in offline script killing, there are currently three
main types of solutions: one is to use administrative or legal means, that is, to call on
relevant departments to introduce a review and supervision system similar to the film
and television and publishing industries to ensure market order and establish
credibility. The second is to rely on the competition mechanism of the market itself to
gradually eliminate inferior scripts and merchants; the third is to actively take actions
within the industry to rectify and regulate itself, including establishing a “script
killing” industry association, absorbing and cultivating professional writers to join the
ranks of screenwriters, etc. These measures are indeed conducive to improving the
script quality of script killing shops and setting the minimum quality guarantee line
for the industry.

For K Detective Agency, there are two ways to improve the quality of scripts; on
the one hand, reject pirated scripts, and do not buy, use, or promote any pirated scripts.
Although the price of pirated scripts is much lower than that of genuine scripts, you

can even buy thousands of scripts on some shopping websites for a few yuan. You can
imagine how high the quality is. There are a lot of homogenization and mutual
plagiarism. Not only are there a lot of typos, but more importantly it's an unethical act
that doesn't respect the fruits of the author's labor. On the other hand, script shops can
actively discover more original writers. Some excellent creators have no resources
and channels, so scripts are often rejected. Even if they agree to the harsh conditions
of the publisher, the final profit is still small. Very few, which severely dampened
their creative enthusiasm. For example: some scripts created by unknown original
writers or people who like to write scripts, because they do not have a certain
popularity, many high-quality scripts cannot be used. K Detective Agency can
discover more original writers and high-quality original scripts, not only can Making

In order to improve the quality of K Detective Agency's scripts, while rejecting
pirated scripts, we plan to explore and recruit more original writers and high-quality
original scripts for one year from mid-2022 to mid-2023.

If the plan goes well, K Detective Agency will receive some original scripts as well
as original writers. In original works, high-quality scripts are left through internal
testing and used in stores; in terms of original authors, due to the direct
communication between the two parties, the cost of time and money is greatly saved,
and original scripts can be made according to the needs of the store, and more The
important thing is that many original writers communicate with each other, which
may produce more good ideas and good script plots. According to previous surveys

and studies, the quality of scripts is the main factor affecting consumer satisfaction.
Therefore, after the implementation of the plan, K Detective Agency will have more
high-quality original scripts, which can not only improve the uniqueness of the store,

2.Background

needs of contemporary consumers, script killing is divided into online apps and
offline brick-and-mortar stores. Compared with online apps, script killing in offline
brick-and-mortar stores is more popular.Due to the high popularity of the offline
script killing industry and the large development space, it has attracted many
enterprises and investors to enter the market of script killing.According to incomplete
statistics on China's domestic Internet, there are more than 30,000 script-killing
offline stores in China, and dozens of scripts can be found in just one city.

In the current society with mainly online entertainment mode, the reason why
offline script killing shop is popular is that script killing has a strong social function.It
is different from online games that can not be played face to face, and more different
from offline entertainment activities such as werewolf killing and secret room escape.
The script killing uses the script to connect players, increases their interaction and
communication through the story line in the script, and puts players into the game
story.In addition to the character's costumes, props and host lead, the player's script
experience greatly increased.Therefore, offline script killing has attracted more
consumers and become one of the most popular offline entertainment activities in the
current society.

However, after a large increase in the number of offline script stores, the

competition between stores is becoming more and more fierce. Due to the lack of
publicity of many offline script stores, the appeal to consumers is not high.According
to incomplete data surveys, in the first half of 2021 alone, more than 300 script-killing
stores in China had declared bankruptcy.And on some second-hand resale platforms
in China, there are also more businesses selling scripts, props and costumes on the
grounds of closing stores and closure.From this point of view, for offline script kill
stores, to survive the fierce competition, customer evaluation is crucial, good
customer evaluation, the number of customers will increase, the number of customers
will decrease.

2.2 Company Background

K Detective Agency is an offline script killing shop. The shop is located in
Chengdu. The owner is a college student who has just graduated from college.
Because he invested in the university shop, he has accumulated certain resources. At
the same time, the script killing shop has a relatively small investment. In preparation
for the new year, it will officially open in August 2020. The storefront is located in
the office building next to the shopping mall, with an area of about 190 square meters.

In the same type of store in Chengdu, the script bargain price is about 120 yuan,
while the script price of K Detective Agency is about 88 yuan. The script bargain

low price, it has become the first choice for students. ; And the store has prepared free
drinks and snacks for customers who come in to play games, and the service will be

more complete and considerate than other stores; at the same time, the store is located
next to a large shopping mall, with a large flow of people, and it is easy to obtain
more potential customers.

Although K Detective Agency is very close to a large shopping mall, it is located in
an office building, which is highly concealed and difficult to be discovered; and it has
less investment capital, compared with other similar stores; more importantly, the
quality of the script and the unprofessional host have led to many customers. The loss
will adversely affect the interests of the store.
C.Opportunity

In today's society, because people's offline entertainment consumption habits have
been formed, there is still a lot of room for offline scripts to kill the market, and there
are also many consumer groups. In China, with the development of new media and
social media platforms, more and more people are starting to learn about scripted
killing. K Detective Agency can grasp the market space and huge consumer groups,
and bring business opportunities to stores.
D.Threat

Due to the fierce competition in the script killing market, the phenomenon of more
than a dozen stores in one street is becoming more and more common, so there are
more and more competitors for K Detective Agency, and the competition pressure is
increasing. For example, in the case of the same script, some shops are decorated in
exquisite style, in line with the theme of the script, the player experience will be

improved, and consumers will choose. Therefore, the store is facing increasing
competitive pressure.

3.Research
3.1Research Problem

This study will use the method of quantitative research to obtain
information through a sample survey. The population sample will select
young college students. Due to the impact of the epidemic in China, this
sample survey will adopt an online questionnaire.

First，the population sample group selected by this quantitative
research is college students, mainly because the main consumer group of
offline script kill is college students, and offline script kill itself has a
strong social attribute, so it has become the first choice of college
students' social activities. The huge college student population in the
Chinese market has given the script kill industry a huge space for
development. According to China's Ministry of Education, the number of
college graduates in China is expected to reach 9.09 million in 2021, so
some universities are the main distribution areas of offline script kill
stores.

Secondly, the sampling survey method used in this study refers to a
survey method that selects some units from all the units of the research
object for investigation and analysis, and uses the quantitative

characteristics of these units to infer the overall quantitative
characteristics. Among them, all units of the object of study are called
"totality"; The part of the population that actually conducts the
investigation is called the "sample".Sampling survey is simple, quick and
information reliable.

3.2 Research method
This questionnaire is divided into two parts. The first part is the

collection of basic information of the population sample. During this
process, the basic information of all interviewees is only used for this
study and is absolutely strictly confidential. The second part is a survey
of consumer evaluation based on four factors (script, decoration, location
and host), which mainly adopts likert five-component scale.Likert said：
“It is a technique for the measurement of attitudes”（1932）。

3.3 Research Finding

After designing and distributing the survey, we have obtained more than 200 valid
questionnaires. The questionnaire data shows that for an offline script killing store,
the quality of the script is the most important factor for consumers, and it is their
primary consideration when choosing an offline script killing store. It is also a major
factor affecting consumer satisfaction and choice.

We selected three questions about script quality in the questionnaire: Will the

quality of the script affect your recommendation to your friend? Does the quality of
the script affect your experience? Will the quality of the script affect your next choice?
Through the distribution and collection of more than 200 questionnaires, we can find
that the selection has a significant impact on 95people; 87people; 93people; it proves
that the quality of the script is not only the main reason that affects consumers'
satisfaction with the store, but also affects consumers. experience and feelings in other
ways.

4. The proposed strategy

Because the script killing industry currently lacks a review and control mechanism,
the content creation lacks supervision, and the ability of script writers varies greatly,
resulting in great problems in the quality of script. In addition to vulgar plots, there
are also some scripts that tamper with history and maliciously smear hero characters.
Therefore, the script killing market has an urgent need for high-quality scripts,
especially high-quality original authors. For the script quality problem of offline script
killing, we can analyze the external factors of the script killing industry and the
internal factors of K Detective Agency.

4.1 External factors

past two years, the industry has entered a period of reconstruction, and some stores
have either been eliminated by the market or voluntarily left. "A store manager

script killing industry could not operate, and it was difficult for a group of stores to
continue to persist. In addition to the epidemic factor, the more important reason was
the fierce competition in offline stores (Dahewang 2022). ). After several years of

4.2 Internal factors

In the context of the script killing industry, for offline stores like K Detective
Agency, sticking to the bottom line of the industry is a basic requirement. On the
premise of sticking to the basic principles, improving the quality of script can start
from the following two aspects.

On the one hand, offline stores like K Detective Agency should reject pirated
scripts and not buy, use, or promote any pirated scripts. Although the price of pirated

5. The proposed plan

6.3 Pay attention to the submission platform

There are many original scripts that have been written and killed but have nowhere
to contribute, and plots have been written but no one has read them, resulting in many
high-quality scripts not being used and not being seen by more people. In response to
this situation, many online platforms have launched submission platforms and apps to
facilitate the submission of some original authors and those with high-quality scripts,
providing a chance for good scripts to be seen by more people.
