The Ajeet 2022 Sainik School Bijapur 154 I was elated when I came to know that there is a program organised Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in Jhansi. Our school selected 4 girl cadets for the program. I was delighted to know that I was one of them. I was so lucky that I was going to meet and interact with the girl cadets of Sainik Schools across the country and also witness the program Rashtra Raksha Samarpan Parv. I felt fortunate to have such an opportunity. I was glad to know that Asha Nair madam was our escort. They are academic block, auditorium, dairy, Ajeet Bhawan, open stadium, Hanuman temple, equestrian, etc. We met Vice Principal Cdr. Suruchi Gaur and demonstrated march past. But it was not satisfactory. So she sent us to NCC staff for further practice. Later we met Principal Capt.(IN) Vinay Tiwari and Adm. Officer Maj. Vikram Singh(SM). We started our eventful journey to SS Jhansi on 13th of November 21 at 4 a.m. This was the first time I was travelling to North India. There are many firsts in this trip. We boarded the train at 7:30 in Solapur. While travelling to Jhansi I learnt names of many places. We reached Jhansi on 14th of November 21.

My friends and I painted together. We made a beautiful and appealing painting. I enjoyed the first day in Jhansi. I and my friends interacted with girl cadets of other Sainik Schools
The Ajeet Sainik School Bijapur 2022 157 Second day there was parade selection. Out of 132 cadets, 33 were selected. From our school Nidhi was selected. There was a cultural programme arranged in the honour of Joint Secretary, Sainik Schools Society and I.O, Sainik Schools Society. I performed a beautiful classical dance on the song 'Shuklambaradharam'. Everybody started recognising me after the performance. I felt happy to perform in the programme.
The Ajeet 2022 Sainik School Bijapur 158 On the fourth day there were two plans, one was a visit to Orchha and the other was Jhansi Jalsa. I went to Orchha with Asha Nair madam. We visited Shri Ram temple, Chaturbhuja temple, Jahangir Mahal and the tributary of the river Yamuna the Betwa River. There was an acute shortage of water in SS Jhansi. We would run with buckets and mugs early in the morning. Even the Chief Minister of U.P Yogi Adityanath mentioned in his speech that he will solve the water crisis. On the fifth day it was Ashwini's birthday. We wished her and gave her gifts. Yashwitha and Ashwini went to Orchha while I watched a movie. The food was very good in SS Jhansi.
The Ajeet Sainik School Bijapur 2022 159 Finally the most awaited day arrived. The Rashtra Raksha Samarpan Parv. I was very elated to be part of the programme. Honorable P.M Narendra Modi was the chief guest. The dias was also occupied by the Honorable C.M of U.P Yogi Adityanath, CDS General Bipin Rawat, Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh, RRM Shri Ajay Bhatt and the Governor of U.P Shrimati Anandi Ben. The Honorable Prime Minister inaugurated the sculpture of Rani Lakshmi bai and received a sword from the cadets of Sainik Schools. The Honorable Prime Minister got the first membership in NCC alumni. All the dignitaries delivered their speeches.
The Ajeet 2022 Sainik School Bijapur 160 The Honorable Prime Minister launched many initiatives and delivered a speech. He started the speech by greeting everyone for Guru Nanak Jayanti, Dev Dipawali and Kartik Purnima. He also announced that 100 Sainik Schools are going to be opened all over India and all schools are open for girl cadets also.
The Ajeet Sainik School Bijapur 2022 161 On the final day we made it to the historical Fort of Jhansi. I saw Panch Mahal, Jail, Hanging Tower, Shankar Ghar and we had the view of the entire city of Jhansi from the Fort. Highlights of my visit ● I am really feeling blessed to have attended the programme and saw dignitaries and Army chiefs so closely. ● Motivational documentaries were shown in the programme. I was so motivated by the documentaries to join the armed forces. ● It was the most prestigious moment in my life. ● I felt very proud when the honorable Prime Minister mentioned Sainik Schools and girl cadets. ● It was a dream come true! ● After being the proud cadet to witness this historic moment, my sole aim in life is to join the armed forces and make my country proud. ● It was a great opportunity for me to interact with girl cadets from Sainik Schools across the country. ● By interaction my Hindi has improved. I learnt about their states, traditions, languages etc.
