INDONESIA TRAVEL REGULATIONS Please keep the following requirements in mind when traveling to Indonesia. You should carry a valid passport with you at all times, as officials at hotels and tourist destinations may ask you to produce documentation. In addition to your official passport, it’s also a good practice to carry a photocopy with you in the event your documents are lost or stolen. Passport Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of your arrival, and have two blank pages ready for the border agent to stamp. This is a strict requirement, and border agents regularly deny entry to travelers for failure to comply with this rule. Travelers to Indonesia cannot use an emergency passport. Visa You need a visa to travel to Indonesia if you are from one of the following countries: Citizens of countries not mentioned above can enter Indonesia without a visa for stays of up to 30 days. If you are from a “visa-free” country, but you want to stay in Indonesia for longer than 30 days, you also have to apply for an Indonesia visa. Please see “Indonesia Visa Free Countries” at the end of the article for a comprehensive list of who can enter Indonesia without a visa.


INDONESIA TRAVEL REGULATION Health Regulation Due to the covid-19 issue, Indonesia applies the following health protocols since 1 September 2022. 1. PCR test is no longer required to enter Indonesia if traveler fully vaccinated. Note: Airlines / carriers may have different requirement to board their transport vehicle regarding PCR test. 2. Showing insurance coverage statement for Covid-19 treatment in Indonesia is no longer required. 3. Download an Indonesian mobile application Peduli Lindungi (available on Google Play; App Store, App Gallery). 4. Register your Covid-19 vaccine certificate at PeduliLindungi app (see attachment) for your access to indoor public places in Indonesia. 5. Show printed or digital proof that you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 at least 14 days prior to your departure (exemptions apply to visitors under 18 years old, diplomatic/official government visit, and medically certified persons). 6. A traveler that has been Covid-19 infected is exempted from showing Covid-19 vaccine certificate as long as traveler can show a medical attestation from doctor/hospital/ministry of health or a Covid-19 recovery certificate from departure country (in English) confirming that the traveler is no longer transmitting Covid-19 and not yet possible or cannot receive full dose of Covid-19 vaccine. 7. Temperature check upon arrival in Indonesia and if travelers has fever and/or Covid-19 symptoms then PCR test upon arrival must be done. If travelers are not required to do PCR test upon arrival then they may continue their journey. 8. If travelers must do PCR test upon arrival then they need to wait for negative PCR test result at hotel/accommodation. If traveler's PCR test upon arrival is positive then they need to quarantine or treated in hospital as suggested by Ministry of Health officials.


9. For those who have not vaccinated or have received 1 dose of vaccine due to medical reasons are required to show a medical certificate from local hospital explaining the reason of why they cannot complete/receive vaccination. All international travellers are required to have a complete e-HAC to travel domestically within Indonesia. You will get a unique barcode at the end of the process and will have to show it upon check-in and arrival. CUSTOM GUIDE Every passenger of a means of transport arriving from abroad is required to fill out a Customs Declaration (CD), which currently can be filled out in a paperless manner, namely the Electronic Customs Declaration (ECD) via the link ecd.beacukai.go.id. You can fill in the Electronic Customs Declaration (ECD) 2 days before your arrival date in Indonesia and it is known that the ECD is now connected to the IMEI Registration service. Fill in correctly and according to the steps provided until you get a QR Code. The QR code from the filling results will appear in your email or can be downloaded directly to be shown to Customs and Excise officers in the Customs Area. The following are the requirements for completing the Electronic Customs Declaration (ECD): 1. Passport. 2. Email address. 3. Ticket or boarding pass. 4. Supporting documents related to your luggage in accordance with applicable regulations such as invoices, packing lists, doctor's certificates and others.


SECURITY GUIDE Indonesia has strict regulations for passengers carrying prohibited items on flights. You are strongly advised to ask airline staff before check-in if unsure of what is in your hand luggage, to prevent unnecessary delays. LAGS must be in containers with a maximum capacity not more than 100ML each. LAGS in containers larger than 100ML will not be accepted, event if the containers are partially-filled. GUIDELINES ON LAGS (Liquid, Aerosols & Gels) Place the containers (not exceeding 1-litre in total) in a transparent re-sealable plastic bag which must be completely closed. Only one transparent re-sealable plastic per passenger is allowed. The bag must be presented separately for examination at the security screening point. Exemption can be made for baby food provided that an infant is traveling with you. Exemptions can also be made for special dietary items and medications accompanied with and original letter from certified medical practitioners. These items may be subjected to additional checks at the security screening point. All LAGS that do not meeting the above requirements must be disposed of before the security screening point.

THE THINGS TO BE PREPARED Bali’s temperature is about 22℃ - 28 ℃ on April 2023. The best costume in Bali due to the weather is cotton fabric material or anything which does not make you sweaty. Please brings some kind of sunscreen or sun protection to avoid UV. Then to support the conference please brings any devices that you think you will need during the conference. For some agenda, such as outdoor activities please wear any shoes which comfort to be worn on beach sand and grass as well. In the gala night agenda, please do not wear anything like high heels, stiletto, or something like that because the venue is not suitable for those shoe types. Please wear anything comfortable. For information, since 2018 Bali has campaigned to be an island without plastic. The regulation was officially instituted, and for a blissful moment, dreaded styrofoam, plastic bags, and plastic straws were prohibited island-wide. So, if you want to buy some needs please bring your own bag.

WHERE YOU CAN VISIT IN BALI … Bali is well known as one of the best in Indonesia tourist destinations. Bali has beautiful beaches and mountains with natural hot water around which you can enjoy, and also in Bali you can see a lot of rice fields or forests. If you want to enjoy the mountains you can go to Kintamani or Ubud which is about 1 - 2 hours by car from the conference venue. To enjoy the beaches, Bali is surrounded by beautiful beaches, and you can see one beautiful beach in the conference venue. Local people in Bali also do religious rituals every day, if you are by any chance seeing the rituals please do not interrupt them.
