Abdulrahman Essa Al-Mannai
President and CEO

Dear colleagues,
It gives me great pleasure to say that we started the year on a high note. First, we welcomed “Majd”,
our largest container vessel to date to our fleet. We then launched the first phase of Milaha Logistics
City, which marked our entry into the cold chain solutions sector. Our Trading team signed new exclusive
dealership agreements, while our various business units took part in conferences and exhibitions
to showcase our integrated solutions to new and prospective clients. In more ways than one, these
milestones are directly and indirectly helping our country overcome the restrictions and repercussions
of the blockade, and contributing to the growth of our own business.
On a wider scale, we continue to operate in challenging markets domestically and internationally, which
means that we must continue to demonstrate even more resilience, versatility, and commitment to
quality service to our customers who have high expectations that we should not disappoint.
Internally, we initiated a reorganization of our businesses to reflect the ambitions of our medium and
long-term strategy and boost the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Milaha. We also updated our
Delegation of Authority (DoA) documents for the same purpose. The success of this reorganization
will not be possible without our collective support of the changes to ensure that the new structure will
become part of our daily routine.
Last but not least, I remain confident in our ability to overcome external and internal challenges through
teamwork, collaboration, and adherence to our values.
Let us continue to take Milaha forward.

Milaha Shipyard Signs
Agreement with Yanmar

Milaha Shipyard has recently signed an agreement with Yanmar, a leading Japan-based marine engine
manufacturer, to set up an authorized service center in Qatar for medium speed engines repair and
spare parts sale. By virtue of the agreement, Milaha will put together a complete engine maintenance
team which will receive specialized training at the Yanmar training center in Japan. The new center is a
significant addition to Milaha Shipyard’s large portfolio of services and will further enhance its ability to
support shipowners in Qatar where a large number of vessels have Yanmar-manufactured equipment,
such as main engines, generators and auxiliaries.

FROM THE FRONT LINES

The ONE Appoints Milaha Shipping
Agencies as its Exclusive Agent in Qatar

The ONE (Ocean Network Express), a new global shipping consortium which emerged from the
legacy of three Japanese liner companies, NYK, MOL and K Line, has appointed our Shipping
Agencies unit as its exclusive agent in Qatar. Prior to the appointment, Milaha was the exclusive
agent for two of the three companies; however, following discussions and evaluation of various
agents, Milaha’s Shipping Agencies unit was chosen by The ONE management as a result of the
high quality of services we provided to the other two members of the consortium over the years.
This agreement will increase the market share of the Shipping Agencies unit, and is a testament
to the excellent work done by our team.

Sea Shipping, Land Transport &
Installation of WOQOD’s Bitumen tanks

Our Shipping Agencies unit was awarded a turnkey project by WOQOD for the shipping of 16 tanks
from Ras Laffan to Mesaieed port, and then unloading them at Mesaieed Port, land transporting
them to site, and finally lifting each tank using a 600 ton crane and placing each tank on a
designated foundation within the correct alignment and plumpness. The tanks were of various sizes
with the largest having a dimension of 14 meters in diameter and 17 meters in height. Not only was
this shipment the largest size cargo ever moved together by sea in Qatar, but also the tallest cargo
ever discharged in Mesaieed Port.

02

Milaha Trading Signs

Milaha Trading has signed an agreement with three new companies, namely (1) Zetor Tractors
