“The oldest and strongest
emotion of mankind is fear, and
the oldest and strongest kind
of fear is fear of the unknown.”
-H. P. Lovecraft

“Either death is a state
of nothingness and utter
unconsciousness, or, as men say,
there is a change and migration
of the soul from this world to
another. ...Now if death be of
such a nature , I say that to die
is to gain; for eternity is then
only a single night.”
-Plato
This story is a readaptation of the mythos
of The Mad Arab. It has a personal twist
inspired from a few other stories, such as
Opeth’s concept album ‘Still Life’ and some
other religious mythologies and legends.
The story follows Abdul Alhazred from the
the moment he found the Necronomicon as a
teenager to the moment the book changed him
into a philosopher who is misunderstood by
his community.
