CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
Accountable for: maternal and fetal assessments; interpretation of fetal heart tracing and implementing
interventions as necessary; administration of medications via all routes including pitocin, hemabate,
methergine, betamethasone, magnesium sulfate and phenylephrine; triaging patients who present with
obstetrical and non-obstetrical symptoms; initial infant assessment; administration of newborn
medications including erythromycin and vitamin K; establishing therapeutic relationship and rapport with
patients; using translator phone for non-English speaking patients; patient education; admission and
discharge of patients; collaboration with medical staff.
Assist with: insertion of intrauterine pressure catheter; application of fetal scalp electrode;

methadone initiation; induction of labor (mechanically and chemically); preeclampsia; and gestational
diabetes.
