THE MISSION AND VISION OF THE ENGLISH PANEL 2020

MISSION

To extend students’ English language proficiency in order to meet their needs to use English in certain situations in everyday
life, for knowledge acquisition, and for future workplace needs.

VISION

Quality achievement and percentage increase of the school performance in the English subject in PT3 and SPM examinations,
and communicative and academic improvement on the part of the students themselves.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:

The English Panel of SM St. Martin Tambunan will therefore adhere to believe that the CEFR aligned
Standards-Based English Language Curriculum (SBELC) is built on the foundations of communicative
competence and fully caters for cognitive progression in its learning standards through increasing
expectations of pupils’ ability to grasp concepts as they progress from preschool to secondary level. Therefore,
this curriculum of an international standard will further maximise pupils’ learning outcomes, and we will
help to fulfil the standard.
