A MESSAGE FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Dating back to the 1960s, having a performing arts center in Springöeld was the dream of many in our community. When John Q. Hammons donated the plot of land on which our facility now sits, he told a crowd of reporters that a performing arts center was at the heart of every great community he had worked in. Hammons' generous contribution has allowed Springöeld to experience world-class entertainment for three decades. This is a very special year for us here at the Hall - in September of 2022 we celebrated the 30th anniversary of our grand opening. Over the years, we’ve entertained more than two million patrons, presented 130 Broadway national tours, hosted over 200 Springöeld Symphony Orchestra concerts, and provided a stage for dozens of the world’s greatest entertainers – Bonnie Raitt, Gregory Hines, Harry Connick Jr., Bebe Neuwirth, Ray Charles, David Copperöeld, and Tony Bennett, just to name a few. Much has changed in 30 years, but our mission to bring world-class entertainment to this community remains the same. I want to recognize Ed Carson, our Technical Director, who has been with us since day one. Two of our Partners-in-Performance Volunteers, Celia Rollins and Dora Cooper, have also helped us welcome patrons into the Hall since we opened our doors in 1992. We appreciate their dedication to our organization. Saying “thank you” doesn’t seem like enough – these are champions of the Springöeld arts community! You, our patrons, have provided unwavering support of our programming for three decades. We couldn't do what we do without you. With HAMILTON headlining the 2022-2023 Great Southern Bank Broadway Season, the future looks bright for Broadway in Springöeld. We know you will be as excited as we are for what's to come - stay tuned! Now – sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. There is nothing like the energy of a live performance, and this is no exception. Thanks for joining us! Keith Boaz Executive Director CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF JUANITA K. HAMMONS HALL
