Greetings and welcome to the new year! I must say, I’m so very excited to see what the new year will bring.
Then again, I’m always excited to see what will come with each new day. I’m up most every morning at 5:30
am and the first thing I do when I open my eyes is overwhelm with gratitude. The Universe has allowed me the
privilege to partake in another joyful day, if I so desire it to be. To me, that means the possibilities are count-
less to seek and follow through with whatever purposes I am here to fulfill.
Why do I get up so early? I’ve been an early riser since I was a child. Back then, it was because I was afraid I
was going to miss something - anxious and impatient I was going to miss out on my chance to play. Now, an
early rise means savoring more of the moments with which I’ve been privileged. It’s making the best use of my
time even when it’s time for me to rest. That’s 365 and 1/4 days full of new ways to enjoy life!
However, this year is especially exciting for me. This year, I am celebrating 50 revolutions around the sun! It
is a milestone I welcome and I have learned and enjoyed so much in my lifetime. The joyful moments have
been so pleasantly memorable and the ones better forgotten are simply lessons. For me, the euphoria of living
life is beyond a divine experience that only the celestials could know. My prayer is that each of us has the same
joyful life experience. I pray each has fruitful longevity to enjoy as many moments as imaginable. As for my
birthday wish. . .well, just keep the days coming. I’ll take care of the rest! Blessings, Light & Love-Kimberly

Market Trends
Some economists and housing experts predict demand for housing in
2023 will continue to increase, though slightly, while inventory will
still lag relative to that demand. From a neoclassical economic per-
spective, buyers are steadfast on maximizing their personal satisfac-
tion with buying a property. That is, they are less concerned or will-
ing to engage in bidding wars, especially with investors. What will
2023 bring for homebuyers? More than likely, home prices will con-
tinue to decline and interest rates may as well, resulting in what
some are calling a “market correction.” Relative to other economic
factors, this could be a welcomed trend for buyers.
Real Estate financing
Consider this question. Do you know why you want to buy a home?
Buying a home is a significant decision and it is important to understand
the reasons you want to buy. Not understanding your “why” could re-
sult in you regretting your decision later. Before you move forward
with seeking loan options and searching for homes, be truthful with
yourself and purposeful in your actions in following through. This in-
cludes establishing a household budget and a savings plan. Next, ensure
your credit profiles from the thee major credit bureaus (Equifax, Ex-
perian, and TransUnion) are accurate and up to date and that you know your credit scores. You may obtain
your reports at www.freecreditreport.com. Scores may require additional fees. Finally, contact a real estate
agent (like me) to help guide you through the process. Starting with these steps will help make your home-
buying journey a better experience.

Homes of the Future
Three-dimensional (3-D) printed homes are revolutionizing the hous-
ing industry with an affordable, eco-friendly, sustainable form of con-
struction. A 3-D printed home is made using an industrial-sized 3-D
printer and a concrete-based material to build the house in layers.
These technologies are said to be more affordable, better for the envi-
ronment with respect to lumber harvesting, and are structurally sound.
In fact, these homes can withstand fire, strong winds, and flooding
with proponents ascertaining the concrete material is far more durable
and resistant to aging issues than wood. For more information about
this new technology, visit www.habitatpgw.org and search “3D print-
ed house project.” The innovation is amazing!
Technology for Home security systems can be expensive and if you
the Home are looking to install one on your own, it can be an
arduous and expensive undertaking. Sometimes, hav-
ing motion sensors and security cameras attached may
affect the curb appeal of the home. The lightbulb secu-
rity camera may be a viable alternative to securing
your home. The technology is quite simple. Using
infrared motion sensors to detect movement, the appa-
ratus is installed into the socket of an outdoor or in-
door light just like a lightbulb. It even uses night vi-
sion technology to capture footage. A homeowner can
be alerted with notifications by phone, email, or text
message using an app which connects it to a computer,
tablet, or smartphone. The lightbulb security camera is
very efficient, easy to install, and affordable. Howev-
er, as with any security system, always use in conjunc-
tion with best practices for optimal protection.

Easy Edibles - Cake pops
Cake pops are sweet, quick, and easy to make. Change up the flavors Birthday Cake Pops
and decorations for any occasion and make them unique!
You will need:
One 15.25-ounce box yellow cake mix, plus required ingredients
1 cup vanilla frosting, plus more as needed
20 ounces white candy melting wafers
Sprinkles or cookie crumbles, for decorating, optional
46 lollipop sticks (each about 6 inches long), two 9.8-by-11.8-inch
Styrofoam blocks
1. Prepare and bake the cake according to the package directions for a 9-by-13-inch pan. Let cool completely.
2. Break the cake into pieces and place it in a food processor. Add the frosting and process until the mixture
forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the bowl, about 30 seconds. If the mixture doesn't come together,
add more frosting 1 tablespoon at a time until it holds its shape.
3. Using a 3/4-ounce scoop, form the mixture into 46 balls and put them on a baking sheet. Refrigerate until firm,
about 30 minutes.
4. Meanwhile, place the candy wafers in a microwave-safe bowl and melt according to package directions. Dip a
half inch of the tip of a lollipop stick into the candy and then stick the tip halfway into a cake ball. Repeat with
the remaining balls and sticks. Refrigerate the cake pops until completely chilled, about 1 hour.
5. Microwave the candy again until melted and pour it into a tall narrow glass. Dip each cake pop into the candy.
If decorating, turn the cake pop upright and add the sprinkles while the coating is wet. Stick the finished pops in
two 9.8-by-11.8-inch Styrofoam blocks and let set completely. Devour and enjoy!
