What is badminton?

Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock
across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most
common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and
"doubles" (with two players per side). Badminton is often played as a
casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; formal games are played
on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the
shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the opposing side's half
of the court.Each side may only strike the shuttlecock once before it
passes over the net. Play ends once the shuttlecock has struck the floor or
if a fault has been called by the umpire, service judge, or (in their absence)
the opposing side.The shuttlecock is a feathered or (in informal matches)
plastic projectile which flies differently from the balls used in many other
sports. In particular, the feathers create much higher drag, causing the
shuttlecock to decelerate more rapidly. Shuttlecocks also have a high top
speed compared to the balls in other racquet sports. The flight of the
shuttlecock gives the sport its distinctive nature

Datuk Lee Chong Wei DB PJN AMN DCSM DSPN
(born 21 October 1982) is a Malaysian professional
badminton player. As a singles player, Lee was
ranked first worldwide for 199 consecutive weeks
from 21 August 2008 to 14 June 2012.He is the
fourth Malaysian player after Rashid Sidek, Roslin
Hashim and Wong Choong Hann to achieve such a
ranking (since official rankings were first kept in the
1980s), and is the only Malaysian shuttler to hold the

triple silver medalist at the Olympic Games, and the
sixth Malaysian to win an Olympic medal.He won his

ARTICLE ABOUT ICERD

PETALING JAYA: While the government has given its assurance that the International Convention on the
Elimination of Racial Discrimination (ICERD) will not affect Malay and bumiputra special provisions,
opposition towards its ratification continues both on the ground and in Parliament.
The biggest point of contention seems to be that the ICERD is in direct violation of Article 153 of the
Federal Constitution, which gives the Yang di-Pertuan Agong the power to safeguard the "special
position" of the Malays and natives of Sabah and Sarawak through the racial quota system.
However, legal experts contend that the ICERD is in line with the Constitution.
"Article 1 of the ICERD says that affirmative action for the purpose of equality among communities isn't
racial discrimination," said law professor Azmi Sharom.
"Article 2 actually goes further to say that if there's a need for it, states shall take part in affirmative action
programmes. That's the intention of our constitution anyway."
Constitutional lawyer Nizam Bashir agreed, saying "the heart of the ICERD is equality and
non-discrimination, and those are the principles enshrined in our Federal Constitution. So there's no
reason why the constitution will need to be amended."

What is environment ?

All the physical surroundings on Earth are called the environment. The
environment includes everything living and everything nonliving.

The nonliving part of the environment has three main parts: the atmosphere, the
hydrosphere, and the lithosphere. The atmosphere is the air—the layer of
nitrogen, oxygen, and other gases that surrounds Earth. All the oceans and
other bodies of water on Earth make up the hydrosphere. The hydrosphere
includes the water in the air, such as that in clouds. The lithosphere consists of
the outer layer of Earth. This includes the crust and the solid outermost layer of
the upper mantle. The lithosphere also includes the rocks and soil on the
surface of Earth. People, animals, plants, and all other living things rely on the
nonliving parts of the environment to survive. The part of the environment where
life happens is called the biosphere

Forest trees absorb Co2
We know trees are the lungs of the world but a fast-growing forest tree will absorb up to 48 pounds of Co2 over a
single year; approximately ten tons per acre of forestry – that is enough to offset the Co2 output produced by

for indoor air what garden plants do for the exterior atmosphere.

Reduce greenhouse gases
Plants Help modulate greenhouse gases via transpiration and other processes. By growing plants and
trees on top of a landfill, a process known as 'Phytocapping', seriously reduces the production and
release of methane and carbon gases.

Plants purify water
They clean run off water that enters the water table and they can be utilized in reed bed systems to filter
grey water for reuse around the home and even to recycle water for consumption.

Plants reduce flooding and water run-off
Plants can prevent floods, droughts, and soil erosion and in ecopyschology and practical regeneration
they help repair the landscape after natural and human disasters.

Plants feed us, medicate us, produce fuel, fabric and useful artefacts but are just as valuable in their

Benefits of time management

Less Procrastination
Time management helps people get more out of the day. By making a schedule, the tasks that need to be
completed are set out and the person is aware of what needs to be done. Scheduling in tasks allows for the person
to understand when a task needs to be completed and the amount of time it should take to finish the job. This
schedule also allows for time not to be wasted wondering which task should be completed and also ensures that
tasks aren't forgotten. By scheduling out the day, procrastination can be avoided because people are less likely to

Above all else, making and sticking to a task schedule helps a person to feel less stressed about what needs to be
completed. Knowing that there is enough time to complete each duty and ticking off boxes as projects are complete
will help ease anxiety about all that needs to be done. When time management is put into practice, there is less
room for people to be surprised by what needs to be done. There is also less chance that people will be working
right up to tight deadlines. Less rushing allows people to be calmer. When time isn't managed, there is a higher risk
for life friction. This could be a missed appointment, neglected deadline, or forgotten obligation. Lack of time
management can lead to increased problems in one's life, which in turn can lead to more stress. When a person is

Social media refers to websites and applications that are designed to
allow people to share content quickly, efficiently, and in real-time. Many
people define social media as apps on their smartphone or tablet, but the
truth is, this communication tool started with computers. This
misconception stems from the fact that most social media users access
their tools via apps. The ability to share photos, opinions, events, etc in
real-time has transformed the way we live and, also, the way we do
business. Retailers who use social media as an integral part of their
marketing strategy usually see measurable results. But the key to
successful social media is to not treat it as an extra appendage but to

We can already define social media according to the terms. When we say media, the

visitors.Social Bookmarking is a category in which websites are tagged and searching sites that
were bookmarked by other people.Social news interacts to people through voting read articles and
commenting on them. Articles are decided as good if they hit a lot of likes and positive comments
and feedbacks. The most common example is yahoo news. This is good because people can voice
out their reactions to certain issues.Social networking is another category of social media and is
very popular. A huge example of this is Facebook. In Facebook, like all other social networking
sites, you can comment on profiles, join different groups and have discussions with different kinds
of people online.Social photo and video sharing are also a hit on the internet. People upload video
and viewers can comment on the uploader’s submission.Wikis like Wikipedia and Wikia are
informative and interact by articles and editing existing articles.There are still other categories of

In this generation, social media are very much accepted by the society. It is
even already part of people’s life that roles might change if it is taken away.
Social media is not only for communication and entertainment purposed. It also
can be used in business only if the right button is pushed.Businesses don’t
embrace social media because of their fear of loss of data. But this risk can be
overcome through the application of technology and other controls. Security
can be provided to protect the site from being infiltrated by hackers. Social

What is reading ?

Reading is defined as a cognitive process that involves decoding symbols to
arrive at meaning. Reading is an active process of constructing meanings of
words. Reading with a purpose helps the reader to direct information
towards a goal and focuses their attention. Although the reasons for reading
may vary, the primary purpose of reading is to understand the text. Reading
is a thinking process. It allows the reader to use what he or she may already
know, also called prior knowledge. During this processing of information, the
