Lifeview (PGT-P)

IVF GUIDE

is a genetic test performed on embryo biopsies which screens for polygenic disorders, such as Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, Breast Cancer and Coronary Artery Disease. These are very common conditions, found within many families.
For a complete list of the disorders tested, please go to our website: gpclaboratory.com

HOW DOES THE TESTING WORK?
Genomic Prediction Clinical Laboratory (GPCL)
looks at the genetic material in each embryo to determine if the risk for each of these conditions is higher than the average risk in the general population. You have the option to screen for one, some or all of the conditions on the panel.

What other kinds of PGT studies
are offered through GPCL?
PGT-M studies are available for individuals with a personal or family history of monogenic (single-gene) disorders. For individuals with a history of a chromosome rearrangement, PGT-SR (structural rearrangement screening, also known as chromosomal PGD) is available.
I have questions about this testing.
Who can I talk to?
GPCL provides free pre-test genetic counseling about LifeViewTM (PGT-P).
To schedule an appointment, please have your clinic make a referral to GPCL. We will contact you shortly thereafter to schedule your genetic counseling appointment.
Genomic Prediction Clinical Laboratory
GPCL’s advances in genetic testing provide couples undergoing IVF a cost-effective means to “look into the future” of their unborn child’s health. We can accurately predict his or her risk for many genetic conditions — due to chromosomal abnormality; monogenic disorders; and polygenic diseases such as
Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, Breast Cancer and Coronary Artery Disease.
Currently not applicable to all ancestries. Please inquire for more information.
