SINOPSIS KURSUS
Digital Communication & Installation is a course that emphasizes on basic network
technologies and cabling termination system as well as component tools functions.
It also explains the basic wireless network applications used in network systems. It
provides a basic picture of the wireless communication system, device type,
installation method, configuration and security aspects. Students will be exposed to
network technologies which can be used in railway communication systems.

HASIL PEMBELAJARAN
At the end of this module, students will be able to:
1. Describe the technology for information transmission in the network. (C2, PLO1)
2. Implementing cable installation and configuration for network devices according
to appropriate standards. (P2, PLO2)
3. Capability to use creativity in finding new ways of solving problems and
approaching situation with ethical attitudes. (A2, PLO6)

railway industries. This basic knowledge is necessary for every technician who is
involved in oil and gas field such as process, operation, equipment, instrumentation
and oil refinery process.

At the end of this module, student will be able to:
1. Knowledgeable and technically competent in signaling and communication
system in rapid transit system discipline in-line with the industry requirement. (C2,

2. Demonstrate psychomotor and practical skills in solving problems. (P3, PLO2)

Train Safety System course contained learning and training guide for safety system
in rapid system technology. In this course student will be exposed to theoretical and
practical aspect about train safety standards, method and function in train safety
system.

At the end of this course, students will be able to :
1. Explain the concept and strategies of train safety system based on IRSE standards.

Jadual 1

2. Pelajar yang mendapat Lulus Bersyarat (LB) perlu menebus kursus / LA untuk
mendapat HPNM bersamaan atau lebih 2.00 bagi tujuan penganugerahan sijil.

3. Pelajar yang tidak memenuhi keperluan penilaian dan peperiksaan dengan
kebenaran atas sebab-sebab yang tidak dapat dielakkan akan diberi gred TL (Tidak
Lengkap).

4. Pelajar yang mendapat gred TL akan diberi gred baru setelah melengkapkan aktiviti
penilaian dan peperiksaan yang diberikan dalam tempoh masa yang dibenarkan.

5. Pelajar dibenarkan menebus gred (TG) sekali sahaja bagi kursus / LA yang mendapat
gred Lulus Bersyarat untuk memastikan HPNM bersamaan atau lebih dari 2.00.

6. Status pencapaian akademik pelajar ditentukan pada setiap semester / modul

dengan menggunakan Purata Nilai Mata seperti dalam Jadual 2 berikut:
