Fall of 2023 saw an influx of new students to our campus, and one course offered at Lone Star CollegeTomball was Intro to Costume. Students learned the basics of design for the theatre, and also how to actually bring these designs to life onstage. At the end of Fall semester, Costuming students were assigned the script for the Drama Department's Spring production, Sean Devine's Daisy. Follow us @LSCTomballFineArts INSTAGRAM | FACEBOOK A two-semester project culminates on the Performing Arts Center stage this Spring. LSC-Tomball Drama Department: from the page, to the stage! Set in 1964, this play follows the advertising team tasked with running Lyndon Johnson's re-election campaign, and the creation of the very first political 'attack ad.' Rife with connections to current voters in yet another election year, the costuming for this show offers a peek back in time, exactly sixty years ago. The costume team, led by Leveret Zamora, a student from Fall's Intro to Costume, has worked tirelessly to bring Madison Avenue to life onstage here in Tomball. Make plans to join us in the Performing Arts Center March 6-8, 2024 at 7pm to see these designs in real life! Class sketches and the final design for character Bill Bernbach, played by Jackson Nugent.
