Holiday Disaster

Holiday Disaster

Holiday Disaster

Christmas this year was more of a problem than it has
ever been before. Due to a series of accidents varying
from my mom’s car breaking and the water pipes in our
house bursting, we didn’t have the money to be buying
gifts for anyone. Not only that but other family
members came over.

The house was overcrowded with family members.
Everything was so noisy and it seemed like privacy didn’t
exist until you left the house. The problem with doing
that was that it was too cold outside, but doing that was
better than staying inside.

It was hard feeding everyone the first night. We didn’t
have the money to buy anything at the moment. So we
just ended up eating a bunch of snacks. This caused
everyone to just be angry.

Trying to figure out sleeping arrangements was probably
the worst thing ever. The house wasn’t big enough to fit 7
rowdy cousins and 3 adults. We hoped to get the
basement of our house finished before they came
but having the car break down and the pipes in our
house bursting caused us to not be able to afford the
expenses of doing something like that.

All the other days weren’t too bad. All the kids finally
stopped being so rowdy, my aunts and grandma helped
pitch in for food expenses and such, and everyone
got in an overall better mood.
