VBSN Newsletter

Hi all, Happy February! Hope you all had a great month of January. I would like
to start by saying all 2016 VBSN graduates passed their NCLEX (National
Licensure Examination), that’s right 100% first testing pass rate. The 2017
students took their CAP (Comprehensive Assessment Placement) courses Jan. 4th-
6th. Jan. 10th 2nd Degree and VBSN students kicked off the semester with “Basic
Skills.” I went on a good old fashion Ruck with our Lubbock RWB team.

I am now serving as the Veteran Engagement Director for the Lubbock RWB
team, so this month I will head to El Paso, TX Feb. 10th-12th for Eagle
Leadership Academy (ELA) training. This month I am adding quick links to all
social media outlets for TTUHSC SON (Click icons at the bottom of page).

I will hold Zoom office hours this month Friday, Feb. 24th from 2-4 pm (CT). If
you would like to attend RSVP me, [email protected] and I will send you
a link to join.

Notice to all current students! For scholarship deadlines, information, and
requirements for spring, summer, and fall semesters, please see Links Page. I am
adding scholarship link permanently to the Links Page.

Feb. 19th will mark the 76th birthday of the Coast Guard Reserves. Happy
Birthday to all Coast Guard Reservist!

Zoom

• This month I will hold Zoom office hours Friday February 24th starting at 2pm and
ending at 4pm.

• Zoom allows us to have face to face interaction for all who decide to attend. Also, it
will help answer questions that you may not have thought of and will allow us all to
explore answers and options together. Zoom is currently what is used within the
TTUHSC SON as the main form of communication. So, this will also give you a head
start and familiarity.

• This month I ask that you RSVP to my email [email protected]. I will then
send you an email with the link to join.

• To access Zoom you can do one of two things. First option is to go through your
application provider and download the free version of Zoom and follow instructions.
Second option is click on link from your computer and follow instructions.
