SCHOOL PROFILE 2023-24 The Lakeland Junior Senior High School, opened in 1974, serves all students grades seven through twelve. The Junior Senior High School was completed in 1974 and has an enrollment of 725 students. The building is located in Scott Township, 10 miles northeast of the city of Scranton. OUR MISSION • Provide an excellent education that is meaningful for all students • Empower all students with the skills and knowledge necessary to maximize their learning potential • Instill in all students respect for themselves and for others in a nurturing and safe environment • Encourage all students to become community-minded individuals and globally aware individuals Student Enrollment Grades: 7-12 Economically Disadvantaged: 28% Total: 644 Ethnic Enrollment: 97% Caucasian Girls: 47.4% Boys: 52.6 Average Class Size: 18 Student to Faculty Ration: 14:1 Special Programs: • Project Lead the Way (PLTW) provides a comprehensive approach to STEM Education.
