Children and Family
Resource Center has
been a part of my life for
many years, but when it
truly made an impact on
me was when I became
a part of the Adolescent
Parenting Program.

I was a bit hesitant at first, letting a stranger
into my personal life, but if not for my
parents and my mentor Rachel, from APP, I
don’t think I would have been as motivated
to succeed. Thank you CFRC for everything
you do to support families and especially
teen parents!

- Stephanie & Moses

The Adolescent Parenting Progam helps adolescent parents build better futures for themselves and their child by providing
support to continue their education, delay a subsequent pregnancy, improve parenting abilities and to become self-sufficient
and better able to support themselves and their families.

Parents as Teachers has helped us to
grow and become better informed on
how to educate our kids and learn of

things in our community.
- Tasha & Jason

Parents as Teachers promotes
the optimal early development,
learning and health of young

children (prenatal to 5) by
supporting and engaging their
parents and caregivers through
home visits, group connections,

screenings and resource
connections.

Every year we see more and more children coming in with speech
delays. The PREP screenings identify those delays and then they go to
work with the children, providing the child, their parents, and their
teachers with the tools and resources to develop the language skills
they are lacking.

I wish there were more PREP
people and that they could be in
our Center year-round.

- Alice, director of Alice’s Playground Center

PREP (Preschoolers Reaching Educational Potential) prepares
children (ages 3 to 5) for successful learning through early detection of
developmental delays via annual screenings and follow-up remedial
services. Screenings are held at area childcare and preschool centers
and include screenings for vision, hearing, and developmental skills.

Last year, we reached over 4,000 children through our 13
programs thanks to you, our generous supporters. Your
gifts of time and money make it possible for the Children
& Family Resource Center to offer programs that help
parents create positive and meaningful interactions with
their children to nurture their development and growth
and prevent child abuse and neglect. Our programs
provide support and guidance to educators in child
