Hi, I'm Jane Button and I help emerging independent designers
develop their businesses.

In the last few months, we have opened up the Star Bird Road
Boutique to showcase some of their products. And I am honored to
introduce to you a group of hand selected independent designers,
makers and artisans. In the Star Bird Road Boutique, you will have
an opportunity to hear their stories and purchase some of their
creative products.

My intention and mission is to introduce you to these amazing
women and offer you the opportunity to find something off the
beaten path, extraordinary, and made with purpose.

KRISTEN FUSARO PIZZO

My Mom, Mary, is the crowning figure in my life who always supported
my creativity. Growing up in a generation who focused solely on

academics and deemed anyone artistic "a failure," I was the lucky one
writing my poetry and drawing my pictures. Since childhood, she has
practiced with me for the school play, edited my writing, bought me a
keyboard for my piano phase, taught me to sculpt, draw, and paint, and
now she helps me wrap soap. I fought against my creative nature for a

long time, even attending an engineering school.

My Mom allowed me space to both nurture my left brain while quietly
waiting for me to rekindle my right. When I decided it was time to open

up a creative business, she was there, despite all of the naysayers (and
there were plenty). She hardly misses any of my shows, including being

my number one salesperson.

She exemplifies hope and spirit; she is my beacon.
