Security threats to e-Business include

Sniffer

• Sniffing is a technique that able to inspect packets of
data travelling through a network.

• Sniffing used to getting username and passwords,
identify theft and spying on email and chat messages.

• There are some examples of sniffing tools such as
wireshark, debookee and dSniff

Spoofing

• A cybercriminal poses as a trustworthy entity.
• Persuade user to perform something that is helpful to

the hacker but harmful to you.

• Example, spoofing when an internet scammer assumes
another person’s identity.

Splog (Spam Blog)

• Splog usually contain little or no information about the
blog author. Most of the time, the author information is
fake

• Spam blog often contain content stolen from other blogs
and website

• May contain links to unethical or illegal websites.

Spyware
• Type of malicious software designed to enter your

computer or mobile device.
• It aims to steal personal or organizational information
• E.g. CoolWebSearch, DarkHotel, Emotet
