MGPS CelebratesRamadan Nights MGPS celebrated Ramadan Nights for our kindergarten to grade 5 students from April 5th to April 6th, 2023. The event was filled with fun and exciting activities that allowed the students to learn more about the holy month of Ramadan and its associated traditions. The students were treated to various activities, including fun games and a magic show, face painting, henna, hand-made accessories, a telescope, colouring and drawing, a traditional corner, a photo corner, horse-riding, popcorn, and candy, among many others. These activities helped create an engaging and educational experience for the students, who learned about the importance of Ramadan while having fun with theirfriends. The traditional corner was particularly popular, as it allowed the students to learn more about the customs and traditions associated with Ramadan. They could feel the Omani traditional living room set-up, sample traditional foods, and learn about the significance of fasting and prayer during the holy month. The photo corner was also a hit, with students posing for pictures with their friends and family. This allowed them to capture the memories of the event and share them with theirloved ones. Overall, the Ramadan Nights event was a great success, with the students thoroughly enjoying the activities and learning more about the traditions and significance of Ramadan. The MGPS staff and faculty worked hard to ensure the event was memorable, and their efforts paid off in the form of happy and engaged students. PAGE 01

MGPS onOman National TV MGPS was recently featured on Oman National TV's Ramadan Night Special. The program showcased the various events and activities our students participated in to celebrate the festive night of Ramadan on our school premises. Our students were seen enthusiastically enjoying the festivities, and the program highlighted the efforts made by our school administration and staff members to create a conducive environment forthe students to celebrate the special night of Ramadan. We are honored to have received this recognition and grateful for the opportunity to showcase our school's commitment to promoting cultural diversity and inclusivity. We would like to thank Oman National TV for featuring us in their program and look forward to more opportunities to showcase our school's achievements in the future. MGPS StudentsAired onOmanRadio Our school is proud to announce that five of our students participated in the Oman Radio Quran Competition, "Almutanasifoon", showcasing their Quranic recitation skills and knowledge. The contestants were: 1. Alwaleed Khaled Ali Al-Mahmoudi, 2. Munib Munther Salem Al-Kitani, 3. Ahmed Idris Abdullah AlJameah 4. Omar Abdullah Saleh Hamoud Al-Manji,and 5. Mohammed Ali Mohammed Saif Al-Jabri. Three of our students won the competition, bringing accolades and recognition to our school. The competition was broadcast live on Oman Radio, where our students’ impressed listeners with their mastery of Quran recitation. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, parents, and teachers. We congratulate the winning students and thank Oman Radio forthis opportunity.

Moreover, English as an International language is growing with time because it is the only medium for communication in many countries. The kindergarten method of teaching is nurturing and supportive rather than competitive. Children learn through fun and engaging activities like art and music, transforming playtime into opportunities to instil important cognitive, motor, and social skills. In MGPS, we believe that Writing with children provides numerous opportunities to develop children's emergent literacy capacities, including making meaning/expressing ideas in texts, fine motor skills, concepts of print, phonological awareness, phonics, and creating and exploring texts. Science Activities Learning by doing encourages active involvement with the available information medium and requires you to work harder to memorise it. However, it is a productive method as it helps children to embed knowledge in their memory. Our Grade 2 students actively identified different light sources from the given picture. PAGE 04
Science Activities In Science, experimental learning is the process of learning by doing. By engaging students in hands-on experiences and reflection, they can better connect theories and knowledge learned in the classroom to real-life situations. Science Activities Learning Science by doing is an emerging self-guided learning process, and it offers authentic Science research opportunities that drive students to think and act like scientists. Here are grade 4 students performing the shadow-making activity and investigating the length of the shadow of a stick at different times of the day. KG THE EARTH SCIENCE It is important to teach our children what our planet Earth has to offer and how we can help conserve it for future generations. The unit ‘Our Earth’ was the perfect time to introduce the concepts ofreducing,reusing, and recycling to our students. In this lesson, they learnt to become responsible and each student's role in creating a betterliving environment. They also learned many fun facts about outer space and the solar system. They learnt all about the features of space and discussed astronauts and the job they do in space. They discovered that space has no gravity and everything floats in the air. It was an exciting experience and active time learning different counting songs relating to the space topic. PAGE 04.4

Math Activities Understanding 3D Shapes with NETS- Nets of shapes are a great way to help children learn about 3D shapes in the classroom or at home, and they provide a practical and visual way for children to explore different 3D shapes and their properties. Polygons are an essential part of student's education as they teach them how to make patterns, and tessellations, how to use polygons to make other shapes, build on polygons to form 3D shapes and about symmetry. The concept of symmetry was taught to grade 4 students by giving them shapes and colours and asking them to create symmetric patterns. PAGE 05.2
KG MATH ACTIVITIES Number names All of us in the world are known by our names. We recognise each other with the help of a name, which is our identity. Just like everything else, numbers also have names, which help us identify them. Number names help identify numbers quickly. Learning how to pronounce numbers is an integral part of Mathematics, and it is easy to explain the problem sum more clearly with the help of number names. While speaking the name of numbers, children develop their pronunciation skills. At MGPS by KG2, Children are taught number names in their early years as it is a vital skill they should master. To help the kids learn number names, we have listed some activities like arranging the words by looking at the number, sequencing them, picking up a card, and writing it on the smart board from 1-10. Hence, it is essential to teach kids about number names and digits. PAGE 05.3

KG Islamic Activities آدابزيارة المريض تم شرح درس زيارة المريض وآدابه عن طريق تمثيل األدوار حتى تترسخ المعلومة والدرس بشكل جيد لألطفال وتكون الطريقة المقدمة جديدة ومثرية لهم. ومن أهم النقاط التي تناولناها في الدرسهي: - اختيار الوقت المناسب: اختيار الوقت المناسب لزيارة المريض واالطمئنان عليه؛ فال يقوم بزيارته في أوقات ال تناسبه أو تتسّبب في إزعاجه أو إقالق راحته. - عدم اإلطالة في الزيارة: يجب عىل المسلم تخفيف الجلوس مع المريض؛ بأن تقتصر مدة الزيارة عىل السؤال عن حاله والدعاء له - غّض البصر: والمقصود أن يغّض الزائر بصره عن مكان الجرح أو إىل ما ال يحّب المريضأن يّطلع الناسعليه - التقليل من طرح األسئلة: فال يكثر الزائر من طرح األسئلة واإلصرار عليها، وُيتعب المريضباإلجابة والحديث، الريمبنتعادل حمود اللمكي – التمهيدي و عمر بن عامر بن سعيد الرواحي – التمهيدي و PAGE 06.1
Art Activities مادة الفنون التشكيلية من المواد الممتعة للطالب والتي تنمي مهارات عديدة لدى الطالب ، فهنا يقوم الطالب بعمل تصميمات بالمعادن المختلفة ، كما يقومون بعمل تصاميم عن موضوع الزخارف المتماثلة ، ومن خالل تقسيم الصف لمجموعات قام الطالب بتلوين لوحات القرنقشوه ، كما قاموا بتعلم مهارة ممتعة وحرفة أال وهي تصميم مشروع لمجسم من المجسمات بشكل رائع يمهد الطريق الحتراف العديد من المهن التي تعتمد عىل هذه المهارات المختلفة سواء اليدوية أو العقلية . KG ART ACTIVITIES Painting Art has the role in education of helping children become like themselves instead of more like everyone else. Painting is a way for children to do many essential things, like conveying ideas, expressing emotions, and using their senses. Painting promotes creativity growth, enhances problem-solving skills, improving fine motor skills. It also encourages positivity and bolsters memory concentration. KG ART ACTIVITIES القصة هي فن من الفنون األدبية التي عرفها االنسان منذ القدم، وهي فن محبب إىل األطفال عىل اختالف أجناسهم وشعوبهم و أعمارهم. وقد احتلت في عصرنا الحديث مكانة مرموقة في مجال األدب . استراتيجية سرد القصة: يقوم المعلم بقراءة قصة أو سردها بصوت مؤثر يؤدي لتفاعل المتعلمين معه ويتم من خاللها إسقاط الهدف التعليمي عىل هذه القصة أو تأثيرها أو الهدف الذي تحققه القصة. تنبني االستراتيجية األوىل عىل الثانية لتتكامال وتقدما الدرس بتصميم عالي الفعالية،وذلك من خالل استراتيجيات متعددة في السرد مثل: استراتيجية البطاقات و الدمى و المجسمات و الظل و الرسم وأيضا باستخدام الورق. ثم تفعيل استراتيجة الورق مع األطفال و تأتي هذا الفكرة من خالل استخدام الورق حيث يتم سرد القصة ومنها التشكيل بالورق خطوة خطوة للوصول للهدف المطلوب، وكان محور القصة عن حرف القاف حيث بدأت القصة بشكل قارب و انتهت بشكل قميص من خالل ورقة واحدة فقط.شارك األطفال بالتطبيق العملي للقصة بأنفسهم مع المعلمة .استمتع بهذه االستراتيجية حيث أن البعضقام بتطبيقها في البيت مع أسرته. األطفال كثيرًا اليمان بن محمود الخاطري فرحبنتأحمد الكلبانية عهد بنتعيسى العبرية PAGE 07.2
Social Studies Activities مادة الدراسات االجتماعية من المواد المهمة لرصد ماضينا والتدبر في حاضرنا والتخطيط لمستقبلنا ، كما أنها مادة تغذي عقولنا بالمعلومات الجغرافية و االجتماعية والثقافية و غيرها من المعلومات ، فيمكننا القول أنها مادة شاملة للعديد من الفروع المختلفة ، لذا نحن نحرصعىل تقديمها ألبنائنا بالشكل المناسب وبأحدث الوسائل التكنولوجية والمعرفية ليتلقى الطالب هذه المعلومات بشكل ممتع . Protect Ed Activities Through ProtectED, students are made more aware of their physical and personal safety, the rules for safely using technology and the internet, positive relationships with others, and healthy eating and food hygiene to make safe choices. To enrich their knowledge, we do some reading in the classroom. In reading, students don't just pick and read an article; they recognise a word and comprehend its meaning through a cognitive, multifaceted process. They might have encountered confusing words or words we hardly recognise while reading an article. By learning their meanings and reading regularly, they can expand their vocabulary and enhance their knowledge. Reading is essential because it makes them more empathetic and knowledgeable and stimulates theirimagination. PAGE 09
P.EActivities الرياضة غذاء للجسم والعقل ، حيث تعد الرياضة المدرسية من مجاالت التربية المهمة التي تهدف إىل تحسين السلوك اإلنساني من خالل ممارسة األنشطة الحركية والرياضية ، فيمارس الطالب لعبة كرة السلة ويتعرفون عىل فنياتها وأسسها ونحرص عىل أن يكتسبوا مهاراتها األساسية وتعلم القواعد القانونية للعبة ، حيث أن لعبة كرة السلة تتطلب ممارستها توافر عدة عناصر مثل : السرعة ، التوافق ، الرشاقة ، ودقة التصويب ، كل هذه األمور نحرصعىل تدريب الطالب عليها وإكسابهم مهاراتها ، ليس في كرة السلة فحسب ، بل وبقية األلعاب الفردية والجماعية ، كما يتدرب الطالب عىل العديد من األلعاب التي تساعدهم علي تنشئة أجساد قوية تتمتع باللياقة العالية والرشاقة والمرونة المناسبة لممارسة جميع األلعاب وخوضجميع البطوالت . Music Activities للموسيقى فوائد جمة فهي ملهمة لألحاسيس ،تنمي شخصية الفرد وتعدل سلو که ،تضفي عىل الطفل النشاط والحيوية و تساعده عىل استيعاب بقية المواد الدراسية، تكسبه خبرات ومهارات فنية مختلفة ،تنمي روح االبتكار واالبداع ، تكسب الطفل الثقة بالنفس وتخلق األلفة وروح التعاون عن طريق العزف الجماعي ونحن في مدرسة األجيال العصرية ندرب طالبنا عىل العزف الموسيقى وإليكم جانب من مشاركات الطالب خالل هذا الشهر. ICT ACTIVITIES In April, ICT lessons in Grades 3 to 9 were dedicated to celebrating Cyber Security Week. Students were engaged in various activities such as password puzzles, privacy quizzes, movie making, and animation practice as a part of the celebrations. These activities broadened their knowledge of cybersecurity topics and enabled them to develop skills like creative writing, problem-solving and animation. During this time, students also learned about cyber threats and how best to be safe online. Besides the exciting activities conducted during Cyber Security Week, students will also be aware of cyberresponsibilities when using technology daily. PAGE 12
KG Theme Activities Little Meteorologist Children frequently fear thunderstorms but enjoy splashing in puddles and seeing rainbows once the storm has passed. Making weather observations and talking about climate are excellent ways to teach our KG learners about science, especially since the weather is something they can easily relate to and comprehend. The weather and climate impact children’s lives daily, whether sunny and clear outside or windy and rainy. It is vital to engage our learners by giving them a dramatic role as weather forecasters to give them a sense of awareness of the weather every day because the climate is constantly changing and can be measured and observed by people of all ages. Providing children with weather information also allows us to talk with our learners about the importance of being on alert when there’s a chance of bad weather and knowing whatto do if a severe storm or natural disaster occurs. KG CAREER DAY ‘The best way to predictthe future is to create it-Abraham Lincoln The kindergarten pupils held their annual career day on Thursday, 13th April 2023. Each student dressed according to their passion and interest and prepared a lovely presentation. This event allowed the students to expose them to various careers and a realistic picture of life. RAMADAN CELEBRATION NIGHT Ramadan is like a unique flower that blossoms once a year, and just as you begin to smell its fragrance, it disappears for another year. It is the month of spirituality, self-reflection, and acts of charity. In addition to that, it's also a month of sharing and caring. Ramadan Celebration Night at MGPS is particularly special, allowing our students to break their fast, pray, and engage in festivities of happiness and joy. Itreminds us about our heritage and tradition. The night is not just a celebration night but also to cultivate mindfulness and gratitude, and this mindfulness and gratitude are the sources for strengthening their faith and connecting with the divine. The night can define as a symbol of love and affection. Children always like to spend and share their time with peers. They rejoice to play, eat, share, pray, care and enjoy together. Ramadan celebration night offers an opportunity for such gatherings. Games, magic shows, face painting, henna, hand-made accessories, telescoping, art & crafts, traditional food & sovereigns, and horse riding have driven our students to a fantastic celebration night. The event was pronounced as a special night. Moreover, The occasion nurtures self-reflection and self-improvement among our students. Hence, the night has been marked by a sense of unity, joy, and gratitude for the blessings of life. PAGE 15
Qaranqasho Qaranqasho is a celebration that occurs in the middle of Ramadan. Children get the opportunity to dress up in the finest traditional costumes and visit their neighbourhood with their friends, going from doorto door singing special songs and collecting sweets. Here, at MGPS, we celebrated Qaranqasho with great excitement and enthusiasm, as it is a way to reward children for successfully fasting for the first half of the month and to encourage them to continue through the second half. As a part of the festivities, children were given sweets and candies and treated to face painting, art and craft activities, a magic show, games and other fun activities. The celebration was like a carnival for the students, with jumping castles, pony rides, traditional Omani food, henna and moon watching. It was a fun and memorable night as everyone at the school came together, had fun and enjoyed themselves. Qaranqasho indeed left an indubitable mark on innocent hearts. PAGE 15.1

Cambridge Update Grade 10 – Cambridge IG Mock Exams As our grade 10 students gear up for the Final Cambridge IGCSE exams, Mock IGCSE exams were held from April 8 – 18, 2023. Mock Cambridge IG exams were held objectively to allow students to feel the actual Cambridge IGCSE examinations regarding exam preparation, exam environment, exam time, question paper pattern etc. PAGE 18
Cambridge Update All fourteen Grade 10 students registered for the Cambridge IGCSE Exams appeared for the Mock IGCSE exams in all five subjects: English, Physics, Biology, Chemistry & Mathematics. There were 13 exams of various components of the subjects. Additional morning classes, online evening classes and teacher support supported preparation forthe Mock exams. PAGE 18.1
Cambridge Update Next, the Final English – IGCSE Speaking Examination was also conducted successfully for the fourteen IG students. Students spoke fluently on the topic scenarios presented by the Examiner while their dialogue conversations were being recorded forfurther grading and internal assessment. The IGCSE Mock exams allowed our students to overcome uncomfortable emotions like nervousness, anxiety, and time management. Finally, the results of the IGCSE Mock exams were discussed with the students giving them better insight into exam-focused strategies and preparation tips. Parent' s Corner We are pleased with MGPS as Adam's first school experience in KG. We're grateful to his teachers (Ms Rawia and Ms Nausheen) because his literacy and numeracy skills in Arabic and English improved. He is more confident now due to the equal and sufficient opportunities that their teachers allow them to explore and progress in all aspects. Teacher ' s Corner تعبيًرا عن أهمية اللغة العربية العظيمة، لغة الضاد ولغة القرآن الكريم، واللغة المعجزة التي هي أقدر لغات العالم عىل البوح بما يدور في خاطر اإلنسان، سوف نضع كلمة عن أهمية اللغة العربية لغة الضاد قصيرة: إَّن اللغة العربية من أقدم اللغات الموجودة عىل سطح األرض، فقد تحَّدث بها العرب القدامى منذ آالف السنين، وكتبوا بها أعظم األشعار في اآلداب العالمية جميعها، وألقوا بها أعظم ا عريًضا في أغلب المخطوطات ال ُخطب وأرسلوا بها أفصح الرسائل، فكانت هذه اللغة عنواًن األثرية التاريخية التي أَّكدت عىل أَّن جذور هذه اللغة العظيمة ضاربة في عمق التاريخ، وال ُيعُّد هذا سبًبا وحيًدا في أهمية هذه اللغة العربية لغة الضاد، ولكَّن األهمية األبرز تكمن في أَّن هللا تعاىل اختار العرب دون غيرهم من شعوب األرض واختار اللغة العربية دون غيرها من لغات األرض الكثيرة، لكي تكون اللغة الرسمية للكتاب اإللهي المنزل األخير إىل البشر، اختار العرب ها اللغة األفصح بين لغات األرض، لفصاحة لسانهم وقدرتهم البيانية العالية واختار لغة الضاد ألَّن فتحَّولت أهمية اللغة العربية إىل أهمية دينية تدفع كُّل مسلم في هذه األرض إىل تعلمها وفهم ة أرجاء العالم، حَّتى َّف قواعدها، ولم تزل اللغة العربية إىل اآلن تحقق انتشاًرا واسًعا في كا ا وأكثرها انتشاًرا عىل مواقع اإلنترنت أيًضا نحن في مدرسة أصبحت اليوم من أكثر اللغات تحدًث األجيال العصرية الخاصة نتميز بتقديم كافة األساليب واألنشطة والتطورات األكاديمية لتمكين جميع التالميذ من جميع فروع المادة التعليمية ولنصل بهم دائما إىل مستوى التميزوإلبداع وذلك بفضل من هللا تعاىل ومن توجيهات اإلدارة الحكيمة لنا وتطوير الكادر التعليمي دائما ومواكبة كل ما هو جديد لكي نصل إىل مرحلة التميز حيث تقوم مدرسة األجيال العصرية الخاصة بعمل ورش العمل سنويا لتطوير آداء المعلم تربويا وأكاديميا وجعل التدريس أسرع وأكثر فاعلية مع توفير وقت ثمين للمعلمين والطالب حتى يتمكنوا من التركيز عىل تجارب التعلم التعاوني التي تعزز اكتساب المعرفة . إعداد : أ / دعاء عاطف أحمد أبو الغار معلمة المجال األول PAGE 21
