mber and November, October is

the tenth month of the Gregorian calendar. October is seen by
many to be a time of real seasonal change, it is representative of
joy, peace, tranquillity and grace. With this stunning and
eventful month, we had a lot of joyous and cherished moments
happen in MGPS.

First off, the month started with the graceful celebration of
Prophet Mohammed’s Birthday followed by debates in English
and Arabic languages. The Parent workshops were conducted
for Grades 1, 2 and 3 to help them understand how to assist their
children at home with their homework.

The MGPS campus also stressed the non-wastage of food on World
Food Day with numerous activities like poster making and
PowerPoint presentations.

With all these eventful days, MGPS always proves to be the best in
the academic sphere too. The students were rigorously preparing
for the first monthly test towards the end of the month.

‫يقع شهر أكتوبر بين سبتمبر ونوفمبر و ينظر الكثير إليه على أنه‬
‫وقت التغيير الموسمي الحقيقي ‪ ،‬فهو يمثل الفرح والسلام‬
‫والهدوء‪ .‬مع هذا أكتوبر المذهل والحافل بالأحداث ‪ ،‬مدرسة‬
‫الأجيال العصرية في تشارككم بالكثير من اللحظات السعيدة التي‬
‫حدثت خلال هذا الشهر‪ .‬أولا‪ ،‬بدأ الشهر بالاحتفال بالمولد النبوي‬

‫الشريف‪ ،‬تلاه الجلسات النقدية باللغتين الإنجليزية والعربية‪.‬‬

‫تم إجراء ورش عمل أولياء الأمور للصفوف الأول والثاني والثالث‬

Field Trips

The Science field trip came to be an important
moment in learning; a shared social experience that
provides the opportunity for students to encounter

The authentic setting in the Science Expo organized
by the Ministry of Education deepened and

Teacher's Corner

In Mathematics subject, we develop fluency in knowledge, skills and understanding of
mathematical methods and concepts of our students. We believe in enhancing mathematical
reasoning so that students will be able to better comprehend, interpret and communicate
mathematical information presented to them in a variety of different ways. To focus on their
progress, our teachers engage them in activities shaped by seven Areas of Learning and
Development which are- Communication and Language, Physical Development, Personal, Social
and Emotional Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the world, and Expressive
arts and Design.

We use these interconnected areas to promote children’s individual interests and unique
learning needs. Activities like Abacus, number sequencing, multiplication array, ten more-ten
less, colouring the prime numbers in a grid, finding odd and even through colouring, square
numbers from the grid, triangular numbers, putting the numbers in place value charts, finding
symmetry of triangles by paper folding, logical puzzles etc were some of the activities done
during the month of October.
