Kindergarten FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL Here’s a glimpse of our first day of school The day has finally come for your child to take a significant step toward their independence - their first day of kindergarten, which is an exciting milestone for them. The first day of kindergarten marks our student’s transition to formal schooling, setting the stage for the next 13 years of their education. Here in MGPS we are dedicated to creating a positive and supportive learning environment for our kindergarteners. We make sure to engage them in hands-on dynamic learning that encourages them to develop a lifelong love of learning. Our students had an amazing first 3 days of school! They have been working hard on learning all of the new rules, familiarizing themselves with the routine and place around the school, making new friends, getting along with their classmates and most especially to get to know their teachers and we are so impressed with all of them. 1.23rd September 2023

ENGLISH ACTIVITIES In our Grade 1 classroom, we conducted an Alphabet Order Activity, designed to enhance early literacy skills. we provided each student with a set of alphabet cards. Students had to identify the alphabet letter that comes next and stick them in the correct order. Students were encouraged to identify letters, shared their favorite words beginning with specific letters. 3
ENGLISH ACTIVITIES Missing Digraphs Activity" Grade 2 students did a class activity on missing digraphs. In groups, students identified the pictures and stuck the missing digraph cards to complete the words. Then they read them aloud. 3.1

KG ENGLISH ACTIVITIES Letter Tt KG is the child's first official year of school and the curriculum is focused on mastering letters, sounds, words, vocabulary, and reading. The letter T is indeed an important alphabet and the most utilized one. Several names of objects, foods, animals, colors, and places begin with the letter T. Tea, tiger, and other words are frequently used at an early age. In MGPS the teacher helps the child to use various vocabulary to empower them with better language skills. The teacher begins teaching them a few two-letter words and then gradually increases the words to three-letter, four-letter, and more. Here are some common words that the child mentioned in the classroom like turtle, tree, television, train, tap, and teddy with a fun learning activity. ARABIC ACTIVITY اللغة العربية هويتنا وحياتنا ولغة ديننا وقرآننا ووطننا ، نحرص بكل قوة أن يتذوق الطالب متعتها وحالوتها وأن يشعروا بمتعة التعمق فيها ، كما نحرص أن يعبر الطالب بطريقة صحيحة عما بداخلهم سواء شفهًيا أو كتابًيا ، واألهم أننا نؤمن أن الطالب هو محور العملية التعليمية وعلينا أن نغرس فيه االعتماد عىل الذات والتفكير البحثي والتأملي واالستكشاف واالستنتاج ؛ لذا نجد هنا طالب الحلقة الثانية يقومون بأنفسهم عن طريق الحوار بين المجموعات باستنباط واستنتاج القاعدة بالدرس واستنباط لغويات النصوص األدبية ويتذوقون ما بها من صور جمالية وبالغية في جو من المتعة والتنافس الشريف بين مجموعات الصف . 5.1

Science Activities Making a Skeleton Grade 4 students were learning about the structure of human skeleton. Students were excited to cut various parts of skeleton and joining them into correct form to make skeleton. Students performed this activity in teams and enjoyed working with their peers. Measuring the bone length Grade 4 students performed an activity regarding measuring the upper arm, lower arm and lower leg length of their partners and collecting data. The objective of this activity is to observe that people of same age can have variable bone length and size. 7
Science Activities Melting and boiling Grade 5 students were investigating the melting of ice and butter. Also boiling water was observed and students enjoyed measuring the temperature of liquid using a laboratory thermometer. 7.1
Science Activities “Millions saw the apple fall, but Newton asked why.” Learning that takes place as a result of carrying out an activity or putting a concept into practice is active learning. It is the active pursuit of fresh knowledge as opposed to merely being a passive recipient. Active learners choose tactics, set goals, know when they have understood, and collaborate with others to advance learning. Here at MGPS we practice active learning and try to instill in students the passion for learning by making them curious. Here’s a glimpse of Grade 7 students preparing an onion cell slide and eager to know what the will observe in the microscope. 7.2
As we’ve seen throughout many academic years, an Opening to Science can come in so many forms. Whether it is found in a book celebrating inventions, an investigative experiment or a visit from a scientist who designs medicines to help people all over the world. “When students begin to make connections with each other, as well as with their data, they begin to question what they think they know and become stronger critical thinkers,” says one of the teachers at MGPS, describing her efforts to strengthen science teaching and learning in her classroom. KGScienceActivities LIVING AND N0N-LIVING THINGS (PARTS OF A PLANT) Science in early childhood is about providing experiences that can stimulate young children's curiosity and motivate them to become interested in their environment and in the mechanisms of nature. Children are naturally curious about the world around them. Science education plays an important role in helping children develop communication, critical thinking, problem solving and logical thinking skills. These skills aren't just important for science class, the students will use them throughout their school and working lives. MATH ACTIVITIES Numbers Here are some Grade 2 classroom activities that revolved around the concept of odd and even numbers, creating an enjoyable and highly engaging experience for the students. They actively participated in sorting both odd and even numbers and then creatively arranged them on a "number train." Grade 3 classroom activities centered around the concept of place value. This was enjoyable and highly engaging for the students. Online games with hands-on activities was blended in to create a dynamic learning experience. 9

At MGPS Kindergarten, maths is being taught through play as we believe that it is very beneficial for children. For young children, maths and play have a lot in common. They both include exploring exciting new concepts and finding out interesting new things. Not only does hands-on play help children pay attention for much longer periods of time, It also helps children gain a more well-rounded understanding of maths concepts. When children explore concepts like numbers, shape and measure through play, these things become much more than marks in black and white on paper. Islamic Activities إن التعليم هو حاجة أساسية وضرورية في حياة أبنائنا وبناتنا وإننا في مدرستنا نسعى تحت شعار التعليم اليتوقف أبدا في مدرسة األجيال العصرية ، ومن هذا المنطلق كان البد أن ُيَّدرس التعليم بأنواعه المختلفة بطرق تزيد من متعته وتعلق أبنائنا به وشوقهم إليه ، فكانت االستراتيجيات التعليمية المختلفة ومنها التعلم باللعب حيث يتم إيصال المعلومة لهم في جو من الفرحة والمرح واللعب ويساعد عىل استقبال المعلومة بصورة أيسر وأفضل ، فلنكن كلنا يد واحدة في سبيل نجاح أبنائنا وتفوقهم حفظ هللا أبنائنا وبناتنا ووفقهم لكل خير . 11

Arts and crafts describes a wide variety of activities involving making things with one's own hands. It develops students fine motor skills or the ability to grasp things by putting things together to create an art. MGPS Kindergarten from KG2E and F have enjoyed doing their activity by sticking colored paper (green) to form letter “A” as an Alligator. This activity creates a happy learning environment. kg art activities فن الطفل تركي بن سالم المقبالي F KG2 خالد بن وليد الحبسي F KG2 فن الطفل هو كل ما يقوم به الطفل من رسومات ولوحات فنية واعمال متعلقة بالرسم التعبير. وجميعنا نعلم بأن للفن أهمية كبيرة منها: - مخاطبة الجانب الحسي للطفل. - متابعة التطور الذهني - التنظيم الذاتي للعقل - تفريغ الطاقة ويعتبر الفن جانب مهم من جوانب التنمية الشمولية للطفل التي يجب علينا األهتمام به وتنميته وتطويره. وهذا ما نحرص عليه في هذه المرحلة. فقد قمنا بعمل فني يجمع بين الفن وتنمية الحركات الدقيقة للطفل ومهارة التآزر الحركي والبصري. والتمييز بين بعض األلوان. استمتع األطفال كثيرا حيث أتيحت لهم فرصة العمل الفردية واظهار ابداعهم وفنهم ومحاولة تقديم افضل ما لديهم. 14.1
Social Studies Activities التعلم بالرسم أن استخدام أساليب التعليم الحديثة تساعد عىل بناء جيل واعي قادر علي تحمل المسؤولية تساعد أيضا عىل وجود بيئة تعليمية بنائه استخدام أسلوب التعلم الذاتي لطالبنا لرسم مخطط البراكين يكسر حاجز الملل والتعرف اكثر علي كيفية تكونه وحدوثة والستنتاج المعلومات وتدوينها بالدفتر المدرسي. 15

They learned about the world's geography, gaining an understanding of continents, countries, and landmarks. Through exposure to diverse cultures, they developed an appreciation for different traditions, clothing, food, and celebrations. Basic global issues, such as poverty or environmental conservation, are introduced in age-appropriate ways, fostering empathy and social responsibility. Students also engaged with global literature, fostering reading skills and learning new vocabulary while exposing them to various worldviews. Overall, Grade 3 GP classes aim to cultivate global awareness, critical thinking, respect for diversity, and the foundations of global citizenship in young minds. 16
P.E ACTIVITIES الرياضة غذاء للجسم والعقل ، حيث تعد الرياضة المدرسية من مجاالت التربية المهمة التي تهدف إىل تحسين السلوك اإلنساني من خالل ممارسة األنشطة الحركية والرياضية ، كما أنها تعمل عىل تعزيز مناعة الطفل وحمايته من األمراض وتقوية العضالت وتشكيل جسم صحي وقوي ، فقمنا بعمل إعداد بدني مميز يناسب المرحلة العمرية ، كما قمنا بالتعرف عىل التمرينات الرياضية والتشكيالت وتعرفنا عىل أجزاء الجسم ، وأدينا التمرينات الرياضية الخاصة باإلحماء والتي تعمل أيًضا عىل رفع معدل اللياقة البدنية والرشاقة وكان فيها استخدام لألدوات الرياضية، كما قمنا بالتعرف أيًضا عىل األوضاع المشتقة في التمرينات الحرة بدون استخدام األدوات وهي األوضاع الخاصة ببداية كل التمرينات الرياضية ، استمتع الطالب كثي ًرا ، استمتع الطالب كثي ًرا بهذه التمارين. 17
P.E ACTIVITIES الرياضة غذاء للجسم والعقل ، حيث تعد الرياضة المدرسية من مجاالت التربية المهمة التي تهدف إىل تحسين السلوك اإلنساني من خالل ممارسة األنشطة الحركية والرياضية ، كما أنها تعمل عىل تعزيز مناعة الطفل وحمايته من األمراض وتقوية العضالت وتشكيل جسم صحي وقوي ، فقمنا بعمل إعداد بدني مميز يناسب المرحلة العمرية ، كما قمنا بالتعرف عىل التمرينات الرياضية والتشكيالت وتعرفنا عىل أجزاء الجسم ، وأدينا التمرينات الرياضية الخاصة باإلحماء والتي تعمل أيًضا عىل رفع معدل اللياقة البدنية والرشاقة وكان فيها استخدام لألدوات الرياضية، كما قمنا بالتعرف أيًضا عىل األوضاع المشتقة في التمرينات الحرة بدون استخدام األدوات وهي األوضاع الخاصة ببداية كل التمرينات الرياضية ، استمتع الطالب كثي ًرا ، استمتع الطالب كثي ًرا بهذه التمارين. 17.1
Music Activities تلقين أو تعليم، وتعتبر مادة أساسّية في مناهج العديد من المدارس ُتعتبر الموسيقى لغة العالم الوحيدة التي ُتفهم من خالل السمع، بدون حول العالم، ألهمّيتها في الحياة وصحة اإلنسان بشكل خاص، وتعود الفائدة أيضا لتشمل جميع الكائنات الحّية، باإلضافة للمتعة التي نحصل عليها وتتركها في النفس جراء سماعها، فهي تساهم في .تزكية النفس وتهذيبها لقد عرفها الكثير من العباقرة والمهتمين بها، وأجادوا في وصفها بما ابنة المالمح الصامتة، ووليدة العواطف "فهى تمنحه إللنسان، الكاشفة عن نفسّية اإلنسان، الواعي لحقيقة ما"، كما قيل عنها بأّنها لغة لغة النفوس والتي تطرق أبواب المشاعر، إضافة إىل أّنها تنّبه الذاكرة، وذكر بأّنها ليست فقط لغة العواطف، وإّنما هي أيضًا .لكل من الفهم والفكر 18
ict activities Exploring Input and Output Devices and Computer Connectivity It's been an exciting time in Grade 2 ICT class as our young learners have been diving into the world of technology. In this edition, we'll highlight the fantastic progress they've made in understanding input and output devices and how they've brought their creativity to life through digital art. Understanding Input and Output Devices Our Grade 2 students have been on an educational journey, exploring the fundamental concepts of input and output devices. They've learned that computers are more than just screens and keyboards. Connecting Different Parts of a Computer In addition to understanding input and output devices, our Grade 2 students have also learned how to connect different parts of a computer. They've delved into the world of cables and connections, discovering how devices like keyboards, mice, and printers are physically linked to the computer. They've seen how a USB cable can link a mouse to the computer, and how a printer cable can connect the computer to a printer. Bringing Their Imagination to the Digital Canvas One of the most exciting parts of our ICT journey was when our Grade 2 students harnessed their new knowledge to create digital art. They used paint software to sketch the various input and output devices they've learned about. This activity not only helped reinforce their understanding but also encouraged their creativity. 19

KG COLOR DAY Colors affect the mood of our children, Can we imagine the world without colors? Not at all, Nature itself wears the smile of colors which makes the world beautiful. With the objective of developing and reinforcing their visual perception of colors, our MGPS kindergarten children celebrated colors day with enthusiasm. Children glowed in different hues and tints of colors and enjoyed a memorable learning experience engaging in painting, origami, collage and lively activities. Teacher ' s Corner My Perspective on Modern Generation Private School As a new teacher at Modern Generation Private School (MGPS), I have been immensely impressed by the school's commitment to providing a high-quality education to its students. From the well-timed and organized assemblies to the super-friendly, and respectful students and teachers, MGPS is a school that truly fosters a positive learning environment. One of the things that I appreciate most about MGPS is its use of technology to enhance learning. The school is equipped with state-of-theart technology, including interactive whiteboards, which teachers use to create engaging and interactive lessons. MGPS also has a strong focus on digital literacy, and students are taught how to use technology responsibly and effectively. The school is also aware of the physical protection of the children. All the possible measures are taken into account to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the students. Moreover, they provide an opportunity for the school community to come together and celebrate the achievements of students and staff. In addition to its technological advancements, MGPS also offers a variety of professional development opportunities for teachers. The school provides teachers with access to training workshops, conferences, and online resources to help them stay up-to-date on the latest teaching methods and best practices. MGPS also encourages teachers to collaborate with each other and share their ideas and expertise. Aforementioned are my observations of only two months of joining the school. The MGPS Young Authors Club’s Day celebrates the future scribes, providing a platform for aspiring writers to showcase their talents.
