The restis just history!!! The month of December was exceptional as our school was like a beehive, full of events and activities. Starting from the Anti Bullying campaign, a High School Orientation Programme, a leadership workshop, and many other activities enthralled the campus with productivity. Before getting into the details of it, let’s look at the highlight event of the month; Language is powerful. It doesn’t just describe reality. Language creates the reality it describes. To indoctrinate the importance of the mother tongue, International Arabic Language Day was celebrated by students expressing their love towards their mothertongue through various activities.

TThhee CChhrroonniicclleess ooff MMGGPPSS December 2022 Volume No.4 KGArabicActivities PAGE 03.1 KG2B استراتيجية قراءة الكلمات بينهما. فتعليم الكالم ال يتطلب إال تواص ًال دائمًا مع الطفل عبر كبيرًا إّن تعليم القراءة للطفل مثل تعليمه الكالم. ولكن هناك فرق ًا في القراءة إىل أن يتقن هذه المهارة. والطفل الكالم، في حين أّن تعليم القراءة يحتاج إىل تخصيص وقت يمضيه الطفل يوميًا القارئ الممتاز هو طفل واثق بنفسه.أيضا يتعلم اثناء القراءة مخارج الحروف وكذلك مواضع الحروف و الحركات وتنمية العديد من المهارات. تمكن أطفال الصف التمهيدي )أ( من اجتياز مرحلة معرفة وتمييز األحرف واالنتقال لمستوى قراءة الكلمات الثنائية والثالثية. ويتم تعليم القراءة بعدة طرق متنوعة وباستراتيجيات مختلفة ليتم بذلك مراعاة الفروق الفردية بين األطفال. تم خالل هذا الشهراتباع استراتيجيات متنوعة ومختلفة ومنها استخدام األلعاب التعليمية التفاعلية اإللكترونية من خالل السبورة الذكية.

Here are glimpses of Grade 8 students performing the flame test of alkali metals and making models of molecules. Students enthusiastically participated and were excited in watching the result of their experiment. PAGE 04 Science is the process that takes us from confusion to understanding. Here are our Grade 4 students performing the activity of a 2D model of particle arrangement in solids, liquids and gases. Students enthusiastically participated and were excited about making their models of states of matter. All experiments are learning experiences. It's around us in our very environment. Here are glimpses of Grade 5 students performing the activity of making carbon dioxide gas and investigating the melting point and boiling point of water while understanding the properties of solids, liquids and gases. Science isn’t meant to be just byhearting some information, it is about understanding the concept and then applying the knowledge. Introducing students to the characteristics of living things helped them make sense of the world around them. Through several hands-on activities, our children solidified their understanding of the concept. They loved exploring living and non-living things. It was the perfect way to kick-start plant and animal world study. Students classified the items as living and non-living. KG2D PAGE 04.2

It is real learning.” Children acquire skills and knowledge easily if we can make the surroundings stimulating and purposeful. Math is about understanding, not learning by rote. There is always more than one way to get the right answer. Our students are taught mental math strategies to figure out the problems in their minds. To connect and make Math relevant and real, we encouraged our students to explore the different shapes found in and around the school or home, guided them to handle money whenever they go shopping with elders and to enquire about the cost of things; instructed them to observe their surroundings to find numbers on street signs and car registrations. Also, various activities like factor trees, making nets of solids, digital times tables, calculating angles using trigonometric ratios, etc were the activities done in the Maths Lab. Grade 6Aand 5B
TThhee CChhrroonniicclleess ooff MMGGPPSS December 2022 Volume No.4 KG MathActivities PAGE 05.1 Al Yaman Mahmood Al Khatri (KG 1 C) Noor Waleed Al Shukali (KG 1 C) Dana Darwish Al Balushi (KG 1 C) التعلمالذاتي يعد التعليم الذاتي للطفل من أهم االتجاهات الحديثة في التربية التي ترى ضرورة أن يكون الطفل المتعلم إيجابيًا في عملية التعليم. كما يجب أن يبحث عن المعرفة ويكتشفها بنفسه ويعتمد أسلوب التعلم الذاتي عىل البحث واالكتشاف. هو أن يمارسالطفل العمل بنفسه، تحركه حاجته الذاتية للتعلم وذلك بإتاحة الفرصة للطفل لكي يتعلم بنفسه عن طريق المواد واألدوات واألشياء الموجودة حوله والتوصل لإلجابة بنفسه عن طريق التجربة واالكتشاف واألسئلة أو بمساعدة قليلة من والديه ومعلمته التي تقدم له برامج تعتمد عىل االستكشاف .لذا حرصت مدرستنا بتفعيل التعلم الذاتي حيث شارك أطفال صف روضة )ج( في التعلم الذاتي و البحث و اكتشاف اللون البرتقالي و البنفسجي في المنزل و احضاره اىل الصف و عرضه أمام األطفال حيث أنه من هذا التعلم يكسبهم ثقة بنفسهم و تتقوى لديهم مهارة التحدث والتعبير.

Kindergarten number sense is an important math concept for our young learners. It’s a fun way of teaching kids to have a deep understanding of individual numbers, their quantities, and how they relate to one another within the number system. Our children enjoyed participating in various activities such as rolling the dice, opening the surprise box to find the picture inside, recognising the number formation, and practising writing and counting the objects while building blocks. These simple activities taught our learners how math works in the real world. It helped develop their cognitive skills while having fun! PAGE 05.2

TThhee CChhrroonniicclleess ooff MMGGPPSS December 2022 Volume No.4 Social StudiesActivities PAGE 07 Grade 10A, 8B, 4 C and 3B بسمهللاالرحمن الرحيم انطالقا من فكرة أن الطالب هو محور العملية التعليمية بادرنا بتوجيه قدرات الطالب إىل عملية التعلم الذاتي وقمت بتطبيق ذلك أثناء حصصالمراجعة العامة عىل منهج الفصل الدراسي األول للصفوف العاشر والثامن والخامسحيث تم تفعيل التعلم التعاوني وإجراء مسابقة صفية بين الطالب وكانت أسئلة المسابقة من اختبارات الوزارة للسنوات السابقة في مادة الدراسات اإلجتماعية وقد قام الطالب باإلجابة عىل أنواع مختلفة من األسئلة والنقاش وتبادل الكثير من اآلراء واألفكار ، كما يقوم الطالب بعمل مسرحية عن آداب السبلة العمانية بداية من إلقاء التحية عند الدخول إىل السبلة ثم المناشدة وهي سؤال الضيف عن أحواله وأخباره ثم تقديم الضيافة وهي القهوة مع الحلوى العمانية أو التمر ثم يوضح أحد الطالب كيفية تقديم القهوة عن طريق التغنيم ثم يجلسون يتحدثون عن أحوالهم وأخبارهم.

However, a little detective work can help you figure out if food is healthy. The Nutrition Facts Label is a food report card. It tells you what kinds of nutrients are in the packed food. It lists detailed information on calories, carbohydrates, protein, fats, vitamins, minerals etc. that are in a serving. Grade 4 students learnt how to read the Nutrition Food labels to compare different foods, and figure out which ones were healthier. For example, in the below photos, our students are comparing two juice packs to see which juice has more vitamins and less sugar.
TThhee CChhrroonniicclleess ooff MMGGPPSS December 2022 Volume No.4 MusicActivities PAGE 09 Grade 4A إن الموسيقى هي غذاء الروح ولغة المشاعر واألحاسيسبها تسمو مشاعرنا وبها نعبر عن الفرح والشجن ومن ضمن التعبير عن الموسيقى هو استخدام اآلالت الموسيقية حيث يتم ترجمة المشاعر من خالل اآلالت من ضمن اآلالت المستخدمة فى مدرستنا األجيال العصرية الخاصة هي آلة األكورديون للصف الرابع حيث يتم التعرف عىل اآللة وكيفية العزف عليها وإعطاء فرصة لكل طالب للتعرف عليها وتجربة العزف عليها بنفسه لتنمية ثقة الطالب بأنفسهم و تنمية التعلم الذاتي لدى الطالب وتعزيز دور الطالب داخل الصف وداخل غرفة الموسيقى حيث أن آلة. األكورديون هي آلة مهمة ألنها. من آالت األساسية فى الطابور الصباحي داخل مدرسة األجيال العصرية الخاصة.

TThhee CChhrroonniicclleess ooff MMGGPPSS December 2022 Volume No.4 اليوم العالمي للغة العربية اليوم العالمي للغة العربية الهدف منه تذكير العالم بأهمية هذه اللغة العظيمة؛ لما تتمّتع به من مزايا وسماٍت خاصة تجعلها تتفوق عىل غيرها من اللغات األخرى في العالم . كبيرًة للكبار والصغار عىل حٍد سواٍء؛ لذا ال بد من المشاركة في ذلك اليوم والتعبير يش ّكل اليوم العالمي للغة العربية أهميًة عن تقديرنا للغتنا األم بشتى الطرق والوسائل، كما يتوجب عىل كافة شرائح المجتمع عىل مستوى األفراد والمؤسسات إحياءها، وعليه من الواجب علينا أيًضا أن نكون جزًءا من هذه المشاركات الفعالة. • وهذا ما حرصنا عليه في األجيال العصرية في هذا اليوم المميز فقد احتفل قسم اللغة العربية واعد اركان متنوعة ومعرض احتوى عىل اعمال من صنع األطفال بمساعدة امهاتهم. وتعددت األلعاب التعليمية الخاصة بهذا اليوم واألعمال الفنية و تخصيصفقرة إذاعية للتحدث عن هذا اليوم. Students witnessed different types of drugs and how they would influence them negatively. Not just a new school This is a new horizon Not just a new role This is a dream come true Not just another opportunity This is a new sunrise Open up new skies It is me Abdulrazak from Grade 8B. Some of you might not know me so much but I am a student who joined MGPS 2 months ago. So I’m writing this to share how I started my journey with MGPS. The atmosphere of the school is super nice and clean. One thing I loved here, is the entire school is Hi-tech, starting from smartboard classrooms to the PA systems all are very new to me. Teachers are always kind and considerate here. The way they correct the students with love and compassion is admirable. MGPS is a wonder to join. I wish to stay in this school even longertill I complete my schooling. Now, it’s exam preparation time. Teachers and students are getting busy preparing for the exams. This school year has been a triumph with the reintroduction of events and other academic initiatives that has been taken by the school management. Confidence, Determination, Dedication, and commitment were clearly evident in the staff. Commendable job by the respected teachers, management team, administrative staff for smooth functioning, and the entire school management. I was mesmerised seeing everything so perfect. I wish this spirit and momentum stays forever in helping and guiding our children day by day in shaping their future. The Highschool Orientation Program helped us to understand the parents and the students the important It was heartening to see how well the kids were prepared. The conceptual understanding and diversity of thoughts that are being built into kids are exactly what we would like to grow up with than cramming the concepts. As the first semester examinations are first approaching at our school, I would urge our students to be armed intellectually so that they make use of their ability to perform well in theirtests. The students should note the following to show their academic prowess: Make the most of class revision time Revision classes are an opportunity for the teachers to show you some useful tips on exams and question-answering techniques. Ensure that you attend all class revision sessions, pay close attention to the teachers, and take notes in a way that makes sense for you. The goal is to be able to understand your notes when you review them later. Study with classmates In addition to making friends, forming study groups in each of your classes is a valuable and fun way to review for tests. Working together helps develop good study habits, increases collaboration on group projects, and boosts confidence. Find a partner to compare notes with. You can work together, study together, help each other, and push each otherto be better. Create Flashcards One of the top study tips for students includes rewriting important facts, concepts, and definitions on flashcards. Flashcards also let you quiz yourself without the help of others. Flashcards and study apps are another way to organize and review the material. Find aGood Study Spot The best study environment for you is the one that feels most productive, so try out a few places to see which works best. StayOrganized Scheduling homework, assignments, projects, and study sessions are crucial to staying organized. Use a planner to keep track of deadlines, dates, and times so you do not forget anything important. Check your class syllabus for key dates and plan out the time for a study schedule that works for you. Visualize the Material Focus on the most important parts of your class notes by condensing the material and underlining or highlighting keywords and concepts. Try reformatting them into charts, diagrams, mind maps, or outlines to create visuals that can help you make sense of complex concepts. Focus onUnderstanding Memorizing means finding ways to remember and repeat facts. Understanding goes a little deeper and means you can apply new knowledge to various scenarios and know how itrelates to other concepts. End-of-semester exams often test understanding, not just memorization. TakeBreaks Give your brain and body a chance to refresh so you can approach the material with energy and focus.
