The product above is an explanation of thinking skills. It consists of eight aspects which are definition, importance of skill, type of skill, comparison in critical thinking, selected tool, justification, conclusion, and references.
Lets us go part by part. First, definition. For a definition, the product will be explaining the title one by one before giving the overall definition. The definition is not just talking about general definition but also taken from certain education figures to elaborate more in the definition. For the second aspect, the slide will be talking about the importance of thinking skills. It mentions three factors in the slide which are problem-solving, communication, and decision-making. These factors were chosen to focus on how thinking skills imply not just in study but in daily life.
Next, it also elaborates on the type of thinking skills that are mostly used among humankind. First, is lateral thinking which talked about solving problems originally. Second, critical thinking focused on making reasoning with consideration and self-guided. Third, creative thinking, is the ability to make decisions with unique solutions. Fourth, reflective thinking, is an understanding by making observations of experiences.
After explaining the type of thinking, the slide chose critical thinking to be explained more. The slide decided to do a comparison of two characteristics, high critical thinking, and low critical thinking. This comparison is being made as an open eye for the reader to see the advantages of being a critical thinker and the downside of fail being a highly critical thinker in their daily based. To show the differences between these two conditions, five categories had been choose. First, the analysis talks about how the evaluation process is affected by critical thinking. Second, problem-solving, where critical thinkers able to identify potential answers and not relying too much on quick fixes. Third, is mindedness. A critical thinker is an individual who can see an issue from multiple perspectives to make a greater conclusion. Fourth, the evaluation of information. This aspect is important in the study because it helps students in choosing which information to choose depending on resources. Last but not least, is decision-making. Students with critical thinking will be able to determine the consequences of their choice.
Afterward, the slide was explained on the mind map. It also justifies some reasonings on why a mind map is best for applying thinking skills. In the end, the slide concludes on why it is important to master thinking skills.
