JUDGE

KHALILAH DATO MOHD TALHA

CHAIRPERSON AFS MALAYSIA

Khalilah has been a PR Practitioner for 34 years, graduating from the National University of Malaysia
with an Honours degree in Political Science but found her career niche in the field of Communications
instead.

She had a 14-month stint with the National University of Malaysia in the Chancellery Division
before branching out as a junior consultant with Eric White Associates, a PR consultancy firm, for a year
and then moving on to UMW Holdings as a PR executive.
She next landed a job as Assistant Editor Publications at Malaysia Airlines where she stayed for 12
years, becoming Editor of the inflight magazine Wings of Gold and later Going Places, until she left the
airline at the end of 1997 as its Publications Manager.

She joined PLUS, the largest highway toll concessionaire in Malaysia from 1997 until 2015,
overseeing the Corporate Communications Department and later Strategic Communications Department
to explore the realm of digital media. She also managed the Communications role for the Association of
Highway Concessionaires Malaysia (PSKLM).

She has been appointed the Chair of the Board of Yayasan AFS Antarabudaya Malaysia twice now, a
post she currently holds. Antarabudaya Malaysia is a volunteer based non-profit organization that
promotes intercultural learning through student exchanges around the world. Khalilah is a returnee of
this programme herself, being the first Malaysian AFS student to Denmark under the then newly
launched Multi-National Programme. She is also Vice President of AAI (AFS Asia Pacific Initiative), a
regional grouping of 10 AFS partner countries that aims to promote greater intercultural exchanges
within the region.

Khalilah is a Competent Toastmaster and conducts training from time to time on public speaking,
business and report writing, crisis management and public relations. She is also a certified Global
Competence Facilitator and was involved in facilitating training for 100 Malaysian educators for the
internationally-recognised AFS Global Competence Certification.

JUDGE

MOHD. NAJIB BIN MOHD. AMIN

PRODUCER ASTRO

Najib Amin is one of Senior Producer of All Asia Broadcast Centre (Astro) and mostly produce Malay language
content and TV productions. As Senior Producer working at no 1 satellite TV in Malaysia, Najib leads his
production team producing Live and recording TV show in developing, creating and producing creative TV
program; mostly top ranking show in Malaysia.

From his early days, Najib found inspiration by focusing on creative writing and creating idea for most
famous TV reality show such as Akedemi Fantasia, Imam Muda, Masterchef Malaysia, The Masked Singer
Malaysia etc. Over the course of two decades with the company, he manage to produce more than 100 TV
show airing in most 10 Malay channel in Astro. Beside that he received several award local and
internationally producing various genre TV program. The Masked Singer Malaysia won best adaptation
format in Asia TV Award 2021, Best Producer for Imam Muda by FINAS and Nominees top 5 for best reality
show in Anugerah Seri Angkasa 2022.

A believer in the power of creative thinking to accelerate most TV program in Astro, Najib is leading
the team and taking challenge on broadcasting in digital content. His current project producing new
international and first dating reality program in Malaysia for sooka TV.

Najib earned a diploma from Malaysian Film School (AFM) in Kuala Lumpur and holder of Malaysian TV
Practitioner certificate endorse by Government of Malaysia.

RUSMAWATI BINTI AB’LLAH



Rusmawati has been a Media Practitioner for 15 years, graduating from UiTM Shah Alam with an Honours
Degree in Graphic Design (Corporate). She starting as a Creative Designer at Kumpulan Media Karangkraf;
designing layout for magazine and also assigned to the R&D Department to generate ideas for a new
magazine to be published; year 2005 - 2007.

After actively creating the trendy content and fresh layout for the production of a new magazine for
the market, she was absorbed into the Editorial Department to focus more on writing. She was appointed as a
Journalist to produce the content for the decoration magazine; Apartmen Impiana. She next promoted as an
Assistant Editor for Apartment Impiana and Impiana magazine and becoming as an Editor for Dapur Impiana
magazine; year 2014 until 2016.

She transferred to Advertising Department; as a Senior Advertising sales at Ideaktiv and Sinar Harian
(Kumpulan Media Karangkraf). She sold creative ads, media buy for magazines, slot in television program
(Hero Remaja dan Dewi Remaja under Astro) - product placement, newspaper, event and ground activations;
year 2016 -2018.

Year 2019 - 2020, she has been transferred to Sinar Harian (Kumpulan Media Karangkraf) as an
Advertising Sales Manager to service direct clients, agencies, corporate and goverment (ministries) for
internal advertising, media leads and media plan for their campaigns, programs and events. Rusmawati
managing MAFI's account for media procurement year 2018 - 2019. She also drafting media plan and strategic
communication plans for MAFI's advertising and broadcasting through Sinar Harian newspaper, and digital.

Rusmawati left the company on 2020 and joining Hatimurni Islamic Private Education Centre as a
Marketing and Public Relations Manager; 2020 - 2022. She crafted strategies for marketing team; including
sales, advertising, media, communications, creative and digital. Also, she managed the media for news
coverage of any events or program organized by the company.

1. No registration is required and all the exhibitors are eligible for the competition.

2. All exhibitors must have their display set up for the event. Each team only allow

3 participants.

3. The organizing committee will evaluate all exhibitors based on the following criteria:

5. The most outstanding booth will be awarded:

- A hamper ( only for Malaysians participants )
- Achievement Certificates ( hardcopy for Malaysians / softcopy for Non-Malaysians )
6. For oversea teams, please take the pictures of the exhibit booth and students presentation
video. The video must not exceed 5 minutes. Please send the video link to
[email protected] by 29/11/2022.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The organizing committee reserves the right to disqualify if any dispute arises in connection
with the terms and condition above.
The decision of the committee is FINAL and any form of correspondence shall not be
entertained.
The organizing committee reserves the right to decide NO WINNER for the competition.
By participating in this competition, the participants hereby agree to all terms and
conditions.
