Screening is a simple check of a child’s development to help identify children who may benefit from resources to help in their development. Appointments take about one hour. Nature Play Area PRESCHOOL FOR THREE TO FIVES This class is intended for children age three to five before kindergarten entrance. Registration is based on age of children who turned three or older on or before September 1, 2022. Space is limited. Scholars in this preschool class will learn through play by exploring the natural world together with other scholars and a teacher. Outdoor activities and learning experiences will include mathematical and scientific thinking, physical development, art and creativity, language and literacy, and social and emotional development. Meet other families with young children and explore, learn and play together with a teacher! The cost is $3 per child, per time or up to $8 max per family, per time. No charge for children birth to twelve months. Play times are popular and space is limited. Effort is made to serve many families in our program. Parents may file a medical exemption signed by a health care provider or provide notarized, signed conscientious objection form. Payment and Class Confirmation Payment is required at time of registration. Space in the program is limited. Class confirmation will be communicated from Osseo Area Schools Early Childhood & Family Education [EC&FE] office by email to parents/guardians. Proof of Birth [for preschool class only] Provide a copy of child’s birth certificate. I-94 or passport are also acceptable. Proof of Income [for preschool class only] Provide proof of household adjusted gross income. Two current paycheck stubs, taxes or W-2 are acceptable. Health Forms [required if applicable] If your child has a health related need that requires medication or special attention when your child is at school, parents/ guardians are required to complete health form(s). If your child has a current asthma, seizure or severe allergy action plan, your clinic can send a copy of the plan directly to the program nurse by fax: 763-391-8762.
