Preschool for 3 to 5s Child
only classes

For children age 3 and older by September 1, 2021

Preschool for 3s & 4s and 3 to 5s uses play-based learning, emphasizing social-emotional development. Children will learn how to be a part
of a group, take turns, share, ask for help and more. The lessons learned in our Preschool classrooms lead into our district PreK curriculum.
Children should be mostly self-sufficient in the bathroom, know when they need to use the bathroom and have few accidents. The program
begins with a parent and child orientation with the child’s teacher. This program is offered September 8, 2021 to June 9, 2022.

We offer three 8-week sessions of Saturday Preschool. Register for one, two or all three sessions. The curriculum is on-going and does not
repeat from session to session.

Nature Play Area Preschool for 3 to 5s at Arbor View

Children will learn through exploring the natural world. A large part of class time will be outside in our Nature Play Area learning in the mud
kitchen, sand and water play area, giant birds nest, building and climbing area and more! On rainy days, we will have boots and rain suits for
children to wear. During the winter, we ask that you provide outdoor gear to keep your child comfortable. Children will go inside for some
part of class and in the event of severe weather.

Preschool At Home: Hands-on and Online

With the lead of a licensed teacher and support of a parent or guardian, children will engage in preschool learning at home. Class will begin
each Tuesday and Thursday with a teacher-led live 20-25 minute Group Time using Google Meet. Afterwards the teacher will provide a
schedule of learning activities for children and parents to engage in through video lessons on Seesaw and learning materials provided by the
program. Online learning offers flexibility! While the Google Meets are scheduled live, families can choose to do the other activities with
their child at any time or follow the schedule provided by the teacher. The teacher will work with parents to establish individual learning
goals for their child and monitor their progress. Electronic devices are available for participants in this class on a limited basis.

Our PreK for 4s & 5s program emphasizes school readiness skills through lessons learned in our PreK classrooms that lead into our
district curriculum. Our small class sizes and licensed staff ensures that your child will be prepared for kindergarten and beyond!
Children need to be completely toilet trained to attend. The program begins with a parent and child orientation with the child’s
teacher. This program is offered September 8, 2021 to June 9, 2022.

Early Childhood Screening is a free service for children ages 3 to 5 and helps ensure children are
prepared for success as they begin their education journey.

Screening includes:

l A check of vision, hearing, height, weight and developmental
progress.

l A review of immunizations records and family information.

l An individual review with parents/guardians of their child

progress and needs. Early Childhood Screening identifies

needs that may require special attention before a child enters
