Middle Schoolers Visit the WMU College of Engineering

By Jeannine Koeneke
The 7th graders were treated to a special tour of Western
Michigan University's College of Engineering and Applied
Sciences. The trip was made possible through a generous
grant from Old National Bank.
We would like to send a special thank you to the parents
who volunteered their time to chaperone. In addition, we
thank WMU for accommodating such a large group of stu-
dents, and The College of Engineering and Applied Sciences
for providing lunches for all those in attendance.

This spring, a cast of 50 6th-8th graders dazzled audiences with
Paw Paw Middle School's production of “Shrek Jr.” These students
began working at the end of February and put in hundreds of hours
of work. A team of teachers, choreographers, and advisers teamed
with our students to help them learn and grow through music and
dancing instruction, acting coaching, and providing them with real
world experience on stage. These kids learned how important
teamwork is to putting on a show and that every single child on and
off stage involved with the show is crucial to the show's success. If
you were able to attend the show, we'd like to thank you for your
support! If you missed it,we hope you'll join us next May as we look
forward to presenting our 2017 musical!
