NOVEMBER 1 Rabbi Avrohom Kalmanowitz, zt"l, the Mirrer Rosh Yeshiva, played a pivotal role in the
rescue and rebuilding process of both Holocaust survivors and war-torn Torah centers in
Professional Day that most difficult era. An unparalleled activist, he traveled the world and prevailed upon

to international relief and rescue, Rabbi Kalmanowitz made the following observation:

oversight? After all, he displayed herculean effort and incredible self-sacrifice for the

Rabbi Kalmanowitz responded that the animals were also survivors, lone and broken

deserved to be beneficiaries of extraordinary sacrifice and care. Moreover, as a survivor

toward those who merited survival along with him. Therefore, Noach was judged with a

Girls Elementary
We were so excited to welcome the girls back after Succos. The positive feed-
back and completed Succos charts that the Moros received were a reflection of
the growth our girls are experiencing here at HAC Elementary. Here's a sam-
pling of some nachas reports for you to enjoy: “Chaya Devora davened every
day and even helped her sister daven!”... “Batsheva was an unbelievable help
over yom tov. She davened beautifully every day, saying every word so careful-
ly.”… “Malky was very well behaved and super helpful over yom tov.”
To reinforce our midah of the
year, ayin tovah, the girls did
a collaborative activity. At a
school wide assembly, every
girl had a chance to write one
attribute about a friend. They
are sure to cherish these
pages.
Mazel tov to all our fourth
graders on the completion of
Parashas Mikeitz! Thank you
to their amazing Moros who helped them reach this milestone.
Morah Libersohn's third grade enjoyed learning dikduk with a hands on, edible
activity.
General Studies
Mrs. Post’s 2nd grade girls
launched the new Stem
curriculum with a lesson in
buoyancy. The girls had to
design and redesign a wa-
tercraft to hold weight without sinking. We definitely have some
young engineers in the making!
Mrs. Schwarzmer’s 5th graders are studying patterns in Math. To
practice pattern making, Mrs. Schwarzmer gave an origami lesson
which the girls created patterned, movable stars.

Convention Breakout
With an original activity and video, our dedicated
convention heads, Tehila Altose, Temi Drandoff, Yitty
Greenberger, Sarala Rivkin and Dafna Stern, introduced
the beautiful theme of the upcoming International Bais
Yaakov Convention.
At the end of the day, students were assigned to their
respective committees and roles. As Mrs. Shani Kohn so
beautifully said at the breakout, the success of this
endeavor depends on the contribution of every single
student!!!!!!
Practice and preparations began on Wednesday and the
positive energy immediately filled the halls of Yavne.
We are mispallel for the tremendous siyata dishmaya
needed for the convention to meet the goal of being a
positive and uplifting kinus l’shem shamayim for all!
