Telephony

Mitel Phone Systems

Structured Cabling
It may not be as glamorous as a shiny new laptop, but structured cabling
is an essential part of any network. Whenever issues of connectivity speed
arise, the physical element of the network can be overlooked, despite
internal cabling often being the root cause of the problem.

Cat6
As well as installing data points in new offices, we test existing networks
for performance bottlenecks. We use Uniprise high-quality Cat6 cabling
up to 100m; beyond that distance, we use industry standard single mode
fibre to connect your network. We are also happy to move data points
internally as part of office redesigns, and can provide HDMI over Cat6.

Inter-building / P2P Wireless
If physical infrastructure is not practical, we use Ubiquiti wireless
networking technology to build your network. For mobile and guest
network access, we supply, deploy and manage a number of wireless
products from Cisco and Meraki.

Additional Services
Our team provides additional complementary services such as the
installation of projectors, large screens, speakers, door entry systems and
intercoms, cabinets and Visipatch systems, as well as rack maintenance
and rebuilds. Working with long-term partners, we can integrate the
necessary power work to minimise disruption and reduce project duration.

History
Converged Communication Solutions was formed in 2005 by Neil Christie.
Having worked in the ICT (Information and Communications Technology)
sector for many years, Neil identified a disconnect between the client and
the multitude of service providers they typically had to deal with. Driven
by the desire to resolve this issue, he started a two-man company which,
almost 10 years later, has grown to over 20 employees.

Today, Converged has over 250 clients, predominantly in Aberdeen and
Aberdeenshire, with year-on-year growth, generating annual revenues
consistently over £2M. Although based locally, we support a variety
of clients elsewhere in the UK, from Orkney to Southampton, and
internationally from Houston to Perth, Australia.

Connectivity
As business becomes increasingly reliant on the Internet,
finding the right balance of speed, reliability and cost is essential.

LAN Extension Services (LES)
Fibre-based leased lines provide uncontended, fast, reliable
Internet access, along with Service Level Agreements to minimise

Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM)
EFM delivers a high-speed, reliable Internet connection using
pairs of copper wires. This method of delivery provides high
resilience; if a fault develops with one pair of wires, services
will remain operational at a reduced speed, keeping your
business online.

Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC)
FTTC is a relatively new solution, similar in nature to traditional
broadband, but faster due to improvements made in the method
of service delivery to the end users’ premises.

ADSL
As a low cost solution, ADSL offers no Service Level Agreement.
It can, however, still be a suitable solution when guaranteed
uptime is not deemed mission critical.
