Plastic Challange TTPC for Team Leaders, lead by
Centre for Environment on 17.4.2021 at 3 pm.

Tide Turners Plastic Challenge is a global movement
against single-use plastic which has seen active
participation of more than 175000 youth volunteers from
PAN India in past one year.

on 8th May'21.

Tamilnadu SGF conducted the installation ceremony of Cuddalore
SGF on 8.5.21 at 10.00 am on virtual platform. The ceremony started

with prayer. State secretary, Tamilnadu SGF Mr.K. Gunasekaran
welcomed the gathering. State president, Tamilnadu SGF,

Mr. L.Ravikumar gave a brief about Tamilnadu SGF and explained
the purpose of gathering. He introduced the members of the
Cuddalore Guild.

Explanation about scout promise and scout law was given to all the

new members. Mr. V. Seshadri, State coordinator administered

Scout promise. Addressing the ceremony, Mr. Kalpesh Zaveri,

President in chief of Indian SGF, impressed upon the brotherhood

and stressed the need to follow fundamental aims of Indian Scout

and Guide fellowship. He congratulated the efforts taken by

Tamilnadu SGF . Mr.M.A.K. Mecci, President - Executive, Indian SGF,

congratulated the State President and State Secretary for their

efforts and explained how the unknown boy story created the Boy

Scouts of America.

Mr. L. Ravikumar state President explained the Scout Promise and Law.
This was followed by renewal of Scout Promise to all the new members.
The scout promise was administered by Mr.Seshadri , state coordinator.
State President in his address said that this is the 12th Guild in the state
and that the membership has increased by 12 as against the goal for 2021-
22
i e 50 . Secretary General of Indian SGF, Ms. Seema Rati appreciated the
efforts of the state and welcomed the new members. Mr. M A K Mecci,
President - Executive, Indian SGF said that the Fellowship is like a family
and recalled some of the happy moments with Mr. Krishna Moorthy, SGF
member. State president joined him recalling some of the brotherhood
moments between all of them and highlighted the presence of strong
scouting spirit of Mr. Krishnamoorthy. Mr. M A K Mecci, requested the state
to form a women guild and emphasised on more women participation.
The programme ended with vote of thanks proposed by Mr. V.Ganesh,
State Vice President.

“ Prayer for Peace and normalcy all over”
Programme

Southern Region

Indian SGF Southern Regional Council conducted. A virtual meeting on
13.5.21 at 7 pm to discuss and approve agenda for the “ Prayer for Peace
and normalcy all over” Programme being organised by Indian SGF on
Regional basis. Representatives from Andhra, Kerala , Tamilnadu , South
western Railway and Southern Railway attended the programme. A draft
agenda (prepared on the lines of All Faith Prayer) was discussed. All the
key leaders agreed to go by the Agenda. Chairman requested the leaders
to send a 2 minute video on the list of programe indicated in the agenda
and confirm the same before 17th May 2021. All completed videos
(preferably from SGF members) to be sent in or before 20.5 21 without fail.
The following leaders will go through the videos and decide the video to be
screened on 6.6.21.

Preparations for

Special Prayer Session
on 6th June'21 by

Southern Region of Indian SGF

Indian SGF Southern Regional Council conducted a virtual meeting on
31.5.21 at 7.30 pm to discuss and approve agenda for the

“ Prayer for Peace and normalcy all over” programme being organised by
Indian SGF on Regional basis. Representatives from Andhra, Kerala ,
Tamilnadu , South western Railway and Southern Railway attended the
programme. Based on discussions held on 13.5.21 the Agenda was rolled out
on virtual platform. The trial programme was compered by Dr.Padmini
Sridhar. All the videos were played. After viewing the dry run, members
suggested the following:

1. In few videos the sound volume can be better.
2. Small rearrangement in items can be done.
3. Time for the programme should be maintained.
4. The comperer to use English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu

while conducting the programme.
Chairman agreed for the same and the amended the Agenda along with videos
to be sent to Indian SGF.

Chairman thanked all the members for participating and requested that many of
the members should attend the programme on 6.6.21.

“CAREER CORNER “

Launch on 1st May'21

Tamilnadu SGF Chennai West Guild and Kancheepuram Perundevi
Guild launching its inaugural “CAREER CORNER “ -

an e-job paper on virtual Platform on 1.5.2021 at 8 p.m.
Mr.V. Ganesh. Vice President(Admin) Tamil Nadu SGF and

President, Chennai District hosted the programme.
Mr. Lakshmi Prasad, Joint Secretary, Chennai District SGF
welcomed the gathering. Mr. Sushane kumar, member Chennai
South Guild explained the concept of GDP. Mr. L. Ravikumar.
President, Tamilnadu SGF articulated the linkage between the
present initiative and the Vision 2030 document of Indian SGF
which links the Sustainable Sevelopment Goals No.8 - Decent
Employment and economic growth. He did a special mention of

Mr.V. Seshadri and Lakshmiprasad for this initiative.
Mr.M.A.K.Mecci, President- executive, Indian SGF launched the
CAREER CORNER E-Job paper. In his speech he appreciated the
efforts of Tamilnadu SGF and said that Indian SGF can contribute
in many ways apart from the scouting practices and lauded the

efforts put in by Chennai West Guild and Kancheepuram
Perundevi Guild. Indian SGF Secretary General Ms. Seema Rati
addressed the gathering and said that the efforts will guide lot

youth in perusing the right direction. Mr.V. Seshadri, State
coordinator and secretary. Kancheepuram Perundevi Guild
explained the rationale for the present exercise. International

On Saturday, the 15th May'21 Tanjavur Chozhar Guild Secretary Mr.
Rajaganesan was in action by making general public stand with social
distancing at Mannargudi Government Co-operative Fair Price Shop,
getting them making to wear masks properly by covering nose and
mouth. Mr. Rajaganesan also assisted the public to get the 1st
