Dear Reader,

This is our E-ZINE project assignment that were assigned by our
English teacher, Sir Wan Khairul Nizam for our Ramadhan
Assignment. This E-Zine were about the leader in MRSM Taiping
that is a group of leader stand together forming an association
named Student Leadership Secretriat (SKP). This association
combine all the leadership council consist of Badan Wakil Pelajar
(BWP), Badan Kepimpinan Pelajar (LDP), Jawatankuasa
Pengurusan Asrama (JPA), English Motivational Comittee (EMC),
Pengawas Pusat Sumber Pembelajaran (PPSP), Pembimbing Rakan
Sebaya (PEERS), Badan Dakwah dan Rohani (BADAR), Ahli
Lembaga Koperasi (ALK) and lastly Program Usahawan Muda
(PUM).

We are really grateful because we manage to complete our E-
Zine Project assignment within the time given by our English teacher
Sir Wan Khairul Nizam Bin Wan Khalid. This assignment cannot be
completed without the effort and co-operation from our group
members, Muhammad Ammirul Haqqim, Muhammad Afiq Amsyar,
Muhammad Izzul Asyraff and Ali Iskandar. We also sincerely thank
our English teacher again for the guidance and encouragement in
finishing this assignment and also for teaching us in this subject. Last
but not least, we would like to express our gratitude to our friends
and respondents for the supportand willingness to spend some times
with us to answer all the questionnaires.

. BWP: Badan Wakil Pelajar
. Task(s): Lead all other SKPs into a leader in MRSM Taiping, managing
important activities and becoming liaison between the administration and the
students.

(2) What challenges do you face as you work as a BWP?
. It is more in favor of teachers, not according to what the students ask.

(3) What is the primary value obtained when performing a task as BWP?
. The value of patience: If there is a situation and need an opinion, the teacher will
use opinion A. In a certain period, the teacher will change his mind to use B's
opinion anyway. Once in a comfortable zone with a new opinion, the teacher
would use his opinion. A long and disruptive mind. So patience is very
important.

(4) What are the objectives of setting up this BWP or otherwise?
. This year, the objective of BWP was achieved through the collaboration of
students, teachers and MRSM Taiping staff.

(5) As a leader, do you believe that the establishment of this BWP has a positive
impact on students at MRSM Taiping?
. It should have a positive impact on MRSM Taiping students. When compared to
BWP at MRSM Taiping with BWP in other MRSM, BWP MRSM Taiping is better
because here we are implementing and leads all activities carried out after
receiving instructions from teacher advisor.

. The challenge is when BDP wants to call on close friends about negative action
that should be abandoned.

(3) What is the primary value obtained when performing a task?
. Do not be selfish.
. Feelings of ego are low in each other

(4) What are the objectives of setting up this BDP or otherwise?
. Our goal has been achieved well without any problems with the assistance of all
responsible BDP members.

(5) As a leader, do you believe that the establishment of this BDP has a positive
impact on the students at MRSM Taiping?
. It has a positive impact on Taiping MRMS students because imagine a day
without BDP at MRSM Taiping, the tendency to students make problems is
higher.

. JPA: Jawatankuasa Pengurusan Asrama
. Task(s): Ensure the welfare of students in the dormitory as well as monitor
discipline students.

(2) What challenges do you face as long as you work as a JPA?
. When performing the task, mental strength becomes one of the key to us to
address any problems related to students and hostel. Time management is also
one of the biggest challenges because of something daily activities of the
student will not run smoothly if time does not use wisely.

(3) What is the primary value obtained when performing a task?
. Discipline value: We can inculcate discipline values in the student others or
within us.

(4) What are the objectives of the establishment of the JPA or otherwise?
. Reached as we were able to make this batch student disciplined as well run a
cheerful life in the hostel.

(5) As a leader, do you believe that the establishment of this JPA has a positive
impact on students at MRSM Taiping?
. Of course, the main task of the JPA is to guide our friends get better and go
along with excellence.

. BADAR: Badan, Dakwah dan Rohani
. Task(s): Applying Islamic values to students, multiplying activities related to
Islam.

(2) What challenges do you face as you work as a BADAR?
. Internal: Among the members of BADAR itself, we were not at first initially and
not get to know each other. After several activities, commitment is fully provided.
. External: Student's lack of response to self-approach to Islam. Examples like
praying in congregation

(3) What is the primary value obtained when performing a task?
. The value of patience: Wanting to invite a friend to the path of Islam is really
hard. So, we are looking forward to achieving success.

(4) What are the objectives of this BADAR establishment or otherwise?
. Reached because some of the programs organized by BADAR are running very
smoothly.

(5) As a leader, do you believe that the establishment of this BADAR has a positive
impact on the students at MRSM Taiping?
. Very successful because if there is no BADAR, maybe the situation will be worse.

(1) What is EMC and the main task of EMC which is different from other SKPs?
. EMC: English Motivational Committee.
. Task(s): established as a leadership organisation focusing on promoting an
English speaking environment from all aspects, we act as a barrier in making
this vision a reality, where everyone is involved with our movement.

(2) What challenges do you face as you work as a EMC?
. For me, i have dealt with very much toxic people who try to weaken my team
and our goals, with the help of 19 members, we have innovated multiple ways
in reaching them.

(3) What is the primary value obtained when performing a task?
. I believe that confidence has reached to me better than before. My days an
EMC involves speaking up to a large crowd, especially using English where it
isn’t our native language, I now use my confidence as a shield on fighting the
onsets.

(4) What are the objectives of establishing this EMC or otherwise?
. Personally it is a yes and no for me. In terms of my batch’s social growth, lots of
people are very keen in speaking up in English, whether in social media,
writings or just in basic conversations.

(5) As a leader, do you believe that the establishment of this EMC has a positive
impact on students at MRSM Taiping?
. Yes, as an influence group, we give a shine of hope to students that there is still
time to grow and try, not everything is related to English when it comes to us,
but the school looks much merrier with the presence of happy people.

. PEERS: Pembimbing Rakan Sebaya
. Task(s): Guiding students towards achieving more goals bright

(2) What challenges do you face as you work as a PEERS?
. The challenge is time because too many programs are run by colleges and other
SKPs. This is because PEERS does not have the time sufficient to implement the
proper programs.

(3) What is the primary value obtained when performing a task?
. The value of rationality: Most students who meet PEERS are students who have
problems in life. So we are must be rational and positive thinking in helping
them solve problems effectively.

(4) What are the objectives of establishing this PEERS or otherwise?
. Reached because no more students complained to us about problems
encountered.

(5) As a leader, do you believe that the establishment of this PEERS has a positive
impact on students at MRSM Taiping?
. It has a positive impact because they can eventually survive without any
problems resulting from our efforts to guide them towards excellence.

(1) What is PPSP and your main PPSP task different from other SKPs?
. PPSP: Pengawas Pusat Sumber Pembelajaran
. Task(s): Assisting the staff of the PSP, ensuring that the situation in the PSP is
always up to date term and always tidy.

(2) What challenges do you face as long as you work as a PPSP?
. To encourage students to go to PSP to study the lesson very hard. If you want to
overcome it, we have decorated the notice board at the PSP and provide
services to encourage students to enter PSP thus makes PSP the second place to
study the lessons after class.

 
(3) What is the primary value obtained when performing a task?

. Value of responsibility: We are responsible for carrying out our duties without
supervision of teachers
. Value craft: Reorder the chairs and tables that have been used by MRSM Taiping
students.
(4) What are the objectives of setting up PPSP or otherwise?
. It has been achieved because many students who use PSP do not care about
afternoon or evening to study the lesson. We have also been provides a
conducive environment for studying.
(5) As a leader, do you believe that the establishment of this PPSP has a positive
impact on the students at MRSM Taiping?
. I believe that the establishment of PPSP has a positive impact as we have
encouraged students to study knowledge. Various ways have been made
available to gain knowledge like through computers.

(1) What is ALK and your main ALK's duties that are different from other SKPs?
. ALK: Ahli Lembaga Koperasi
. Task(s): Keeping cooperative shops in the absence of co-operative staff and
helping their affairs in carrying out their duties. In addition, we too fostering
entrepreneurial spirit in the student.

(2) What challenges do you face as long as you work as a ALK?
. Challenges to gain the confidence of ALK teachers to maintain a lot of money.
Sometimes, daily selling money has hit RM1,000.

(3) What is the primary value obtained when performing a task?
. Value of trust: Trust in carrying out the duties and safeguarding the property of
the college. The property of ALK is the property of a college because the college
also needs a cooperative to conduct some activities for the common good.

(4) What are the objectives of setting up this ALK or otherwise?
. Alhamdulillah, is well achieved because every week, sales will be held by the
ALK to foster entrepreneurship sift in the people other students.

(5) As a leader, do you believe that the establishment of this ALK has a positive
impact on students at MRSM Taiping?
. It has a positive impact on students as it can fostering the spirit of cooperation
between students and the ALK members themselves.

(1) What is PUM and your main PUM's duty different from other SKPs?
. PUM: Program Usahawan Muda
. Task(s): Encourage students to carry out activities in the field entrepreneurship
either in PUM members or not.

(2) What challenges do you face as you work as a PUM?
. Most PUM members comprise other SKPs and not all members PUM is SKP, so it
is very difficult for PUM members to do the job when there is a big event held

 
(3) What is the primary value obtained when performing a task?

. Value of trust: Involving large amounts of money and great responsibility
(4) What are the objectives of the establishment of PUM or otherwise?

. Reached as many students who have been active in sales activities at in the
curriculum of encouragement given by PUM members.
(5) As a leader, do you believe that the establishment of this PUM has a positive
impact on the students at MRSM Taiping?
. Believe that the establishment of PUM has a positive impact. Students do not will
engage in an activity if there is no encouragement from any any party. With the
establishment of PUM, students will be able to successfully carry out activities
sales easily

THE LEADER
By : Ali Iskandar Bin Padzil

Sekretariat Kepimpinan Pelajar is one of the most important organizations in
the Maktab Rendah Sains Mara Taiping. Under the Sekretariat Kepimpinan
Pelajar or SKP, there are several smaller organizations that share a common
goal of ensuring that MRSM Taiping lives smoothly. Each organization is led
by a teacher who acts as the top adviser and Majlis Tertinggi appointed
internally within the organization comprising the students themselves.
Basically, the existence of SKPs is created to consolidate and strengthen the
relationship between student leaders to enable them to carry out their
responsibilities more easily with the help of other SKP members. The
Sekretariat Kepimpinan Pelajar consists of 9 organizations, the Badan Wakil
Pelajar, the Lembaga Disiplin Pelajar, the Jawatankuasa Pengurusan
Asrama, the Pembimbing Rakan Sebaya, the Badan Dakwah dan Kerohanian,
the English Motivational Committee, the Pengawas Pusat Sumber
Pembelajaran, the Ahli Lembaga Koperasi and the Persatuan Usahawan
Muda. Although the scope of each organization's assignments is different, they
share the same tasks to lead their peers towards goodness. As stated, the main
purpose of setting up this organization is to make these leaders work together
to do their job. When an organization organizes the program, other members
of the SKP will be together to help launch the program. For example, the
Pengawas Pusat Sumber Pembelajaran has organized a mega project, the
Pesta Buku Perdana MRSM Taiping 2018. The program involved MRSM
Taiping students as well as outsiders. To ensure that the program runs
smoothly, each SKP plays its role to help launch the program. For example,
the Lembaga Disiplin Pelajar helps to control outsiders from entering such
restricted areas as academic blocks to avoid any undesirable events. The
Badan Dakwah dan Kerohanian also played an important role in ensuring that
the visitor of book festivals performed their obligatory worship throughout the
program. Therefore, it is clear here that the purpose of establishing this
organization has been to achieve the goal of combining student leaders to
facilitate the work or work of a small organization within it.

One day, I woke up so late , it is almost 6.30 a.m . I took my
shower , put in my school uniform and rush to the gate. It really late
so that, my name had been taken by the Jawatankuasa Pengurusan
Asrama because it is all their job in all about the hostel. Then, when I
were walking along the corridor towards to the class, a Lembaga
Disiplin Pelajar come towards me and ask me the reason I am late
that day. I am not rebelling them too much because it is all their job
to monitor students discipline. Then, I continue my walking to my
class.

During recess, there always a student favorite broadcast by the
English Motivational Committee. All the school day during recess,
there must be a broadcast about the correct pronunciation that is
well-known as Seeds Program. The recess time always make the
Koperasi pack with students. The members of Ahli Lembaga Koperasi
were so nice to everyone. That make all the student feel ver
comfortable to enter the Koperasi. Half day of school really tiring me
up. I am really stress with my studies. That afternoon, I am really
untidy. Then, there a Pembimbing Rakan Sebaya came beside me. He
calm me down and give some advice to solve my problem. His
advice really fix my mood.

At night, all the students must be in the surau to perform solat
maghrib and isya’. Between the time maghrib and isya’, it is fulfill with
islamic activity conducted by the Badan Dakwah dan Rohani. Their
activities were very fun and make the student gain some knowledge
about Islam at the end. Then, my day continue with preparation night.
After the prep end, some of the student will ran towards the Kiosk
because every night there will have a food sale sold by the Program
Usahawan Muda. Their food is the best because the student will have
the different food that the common food they eat at the Dewan
Selera.My day were fulfill with all the Sekretriat Kepimpinan Pelajar
and that makes me be a discipline student.
