teacher, who loves to share her passion for France with the schools she works with. Her Company has
organised trips for schools all over England, inluding Derbyshire, Yorkshire, London, Surrey, Sussex,
Devon, Norfolk, Staffordshire and Gloucestershire have all enjoyed the Taste of France experience.
They trust them A Taste of France to organise their trips because of the unique French experience we
give to the students .Including château owners who welcome the students into their “home”, they meet
interesting people such as the Mayor of a commune who’ll share with them the passion he has for his
job, artists who will introduce them into the art of enluminure, stained glass window making, glass
making, boulangers, patissiers chocolatiers who are happy to share their expertise and knowledge
and, of course, they’ll meet French students of their own age.
Colette, personally organises each trip with her French partners. The school trips to Normandy Picardy,

Normandy in Northern France is the cradle of Impressionism, Monet, Boudin, Sisley. Home to Home
to Camembert and Pont L’Evêque Cheeses. Also famed for its ancient cathedrals, monuments, churches and
chateaux, it’s the land that gave birth to Flaubert and Maupassant. It has a tranquil landscape of half-
timbered houses and grazing cattle, yet has been a battleground throughout history, from the Viking
raids to the D-Day landings. Offshore, Mont-St-Michel, a 12th-13th-century Christian pilgrimage site,
rises from the sea like a mythical castle.
Accommodation for this trip is in a renaissance chateau, a renovated farm or an elegant domain - all
L’Education Nationale and Jeunesse et Sport approved. Top priority is given to the health and safety of
the students.
Activities include:

● Bread making
● Art workshop
● Lunch buying and competition at a local market
● A wide range of sports and water sports
Visits include: schools, museums, historically important towns and cities, fromageries, bakeries and
chocolateries with talks being given by professionals in their own fields. Entertainment Magic show,
Soirée normande and Soirée françaiseand French evening.
We have organised a number of Language, Art, History and Cultural programmes to suit the individual
requirements of our partner schools and we would be happy to discuss your specific needs for a
Normandy programme. Click here to send us a message

Brittany is one of France's most unspoiled regions. The Bretons are a people whose language,
customs and dress remain a vivid homage to their past. Breton traditional dancing at summer festivals
looks wonderfully picturesque and quaint, especially performed in old-fashioned costumes. With a huge
variety of coastal, river and lake settings, Brittany offers almost limitless possibilities for world class
water sports, including, surfing, sailing, windsurfing, sand yachting, paddle boarding , kayaking…
Saint Malo, known for its castle, the cathedral of Saint Vincent and its 14th century ramparts which
overlook the sea is the birthplace of the famous French writer and statesman, Chateaubriand.
Other cities like Dinard, Dinan, Quimper are simply enchanting. The sea food platter is a regional
speciality.
Accommodation for this trip is in a beautiful mansion approved by L’Education Nationale and
Jeunesse et Sport. All rooms are en suite and health and Safety, again a top priority.

The beauty of Provence has never ceased to inspire French artists and especially one of the country’s
greatest painters, the impressionist Paul Cezanne. To contemplate one of his canvasses is to
rediscover the sensations of Provence, its colours, fragrances and the fresh air of its sea side cliffs.
Away from the coastal resorts, inland Provence remains remarkably unscathed. Evidence of its many
inhabitants – Greeks, Romans, raiding Saracens, schismatic popes, and an endless succession of
competing counts and princes – remains everywhere apparent.
The main difficulty in visiting Provence is choosing where to go. In the west, along the Rhône valley, are
the Roman cities of Orange, Vaison-la-Romaine and Arles, and the papal city of Avignon, with its fantastic
summer festival.
Our residential centre is in Aix-en-Provence, the mini-Paris of the region, home to Cézanne, for whom
the Mont Ste-Victoire was an enduring subject, while Van Gogh is forever linked with St-Rémy and Arles
Hundreds of foreign students, particularly Americans, come to study in Aix-en-Provence, where there is a
certain snobbishness, almost of Parisian proportions.
We can organise Language classes for your students in Provence with content being specifically
tailored to their specific needs whether its for GCSE or A Level demands.
Activities on our trips to Provence include:
Art workshop, Pottery making , Lunch buying at local market
Cookery class, Perfume making, Language classes
Visits include:
schools, museums, historically important towns and cities, picturesque villages and, of course, l’Atelier
Cézanne

Cordoba was founded by the Romans and due to its strategic importance as the highest navigable
point of the Guadalquivir River, it became a port city of great importance, used for shipping Spanish
olive oil, wine and wheat back to Ancient Rome. The Romans built the mighty bridge crossing the river,
now called "El Puente Romano". But Cordoba's hour of greatest glory was when it became the capital
of the Moorish kingdom of El-Andalus, and this was when work began on the Great Mosque, or
"Mezquita", which – after several centuries of additions and enlargements – became one of the largest
in all of Islam. When the city was reconquered by the Christians in 1236, the new rulers of the city were
so awed by its beauty that they left it standing, building their cathedral in the midst of its rows of arches
and columns, and creating the extraordinary church-mosque we see today.
Our centre is 68 km from Cordoba in the valley of the Guadalquvir river, accommodation is in a modern
farmhouse set amongst olive trees groves crossed by a stream follows the characteristics pattern of
the classical Andalusian farmhouse with apartments set around a large garden patio with a seasonal
outdoor pool.
Accommodation is in twelve Apartments
Six apartments hold ten students each and are equipped with their own bathroom and sitting room.
The remaining six each hold up to five people.
There site benefits from a twenty four hour security guard and the main gate is locked as soon as the
students are settled in the evenings.
Activities
The centre offers sport activities under the supervision of trained Spanish monitors. These include zip
line, climbing, archery, tibetan bridges, orienteering, hiking and pony riding
