PREFACE

การใช้ Some-Any มักมีการใช้ผิดบ่อยๆ
ซึ่ง Some มีความหมายว่า นิ ดหน่ อย / บาง / บ้าง
แต่ไม่มีการระบุจำนวนที่แน่ ชัด โดยมากมักใช้
กับประโยคบอกเล่าและอาจพบในประโยค
คำถาม ซึ่งมีรู ปแบบการใช้ 2 แบบด้วยกัน
และ Any มีความหมายว่า บาง / บ้าง แต่ไม่มี
การระบุจำนวนที่แน่ ชัด โดยมีความหมายเช่น
เดียวกับ Some แต่ Any จะใช้กับประโยคคำถาม
และปฏิเสธ ซึ่งมีรู ปแบบการใช้ 3 แบบด้วยกัน

Some มีความหมายว่า นิ ดหน่ อย / บาง / บ้าง แต่ไม่มีการ
ระบุจำนวนที่แน่ ชัด โดยมากมักใช้กับประโยคบอกเล่าและ
อาจพบในประโยคคำถาม ซึ่งมีรู ปแบบการใช้ดังต่อไปนี้

1. การใช้ Some ในประโยคบอกเล่า สามารถใช้นำหน้ าคำ
นามพหูพจน์ ทั้งที่นั บได้และนั บไม่ได้

ตัวอย่างเช่น

I have already sent some messages to him.
(ฉั นได้ ส่ งข้อความบางอันให้ แก่เขาแล้ว)
** some นำหน้ าคำนามพหูพจน์

You should add some sugar in your coffee.
(เธอควรเติมน้ำตาลบ้างในกาแฟของเธอ)
** some นำหน้ าคำนามนั บไม่ได้

SOME

2. การใช้ Some ในประโยคคำถามในเชิงขอร้อง อ้อนวอน หรือ
ยื่นข้อเสนอ เมื่อผู้ถามมั่นใจอยู่แล้วว่าผู้ตอบจะต้องตอบว่า 'Yes'

ตัวอย่างการใช้เช่น

Can I have some milk, please ?
(ฉันขอนมสักแก้วหนึ่ งได้หรือเปล่า?)
** ประโยคขอร้อง

Would you like some cookies ?
(คุณต้องการรับคุกกี้บ้างหรือเปล่า?)
** ประโยคยื่นข้อเสนอ

นอกจากนี้ เรายังอาจพบการใช้ some นำหน้ าคำเหล่านี้ เช่น
something, somewhere, someone, somebody เป็ นต้น โดยให้
ความหมายว่า บาง ... ตัวอย่างการใช้เช่น

Would you like something to drink ?
(คุณต้องการอะไรดื่มหรือเปล่า?)

Somsri is planning to go somewhere with her boyfriend
on the weekend.

(สมศรีกำลังวางแผนไปเที่ยวที่ไหนซักแห่งกับแฟนของหล่อน
ในช่วงวันหยุด)

ANY

Any มีความหมายว่า บาง / บ้าง แต่ไม่มีการระบุจำนวนที่
แน่ ชัด โดยมีความหมายเช่นเดียวกับ Some แต่ Any จะใช้กับ
ประโยคคำถามและปฏิเสธ ซึ่งมีรู ปแบบการใช้ดังต่อไปนี้

1. การใช้ Any ในประโยคคำถาม สามารถใช้นำหน้ าคำนาม
พหูพจน์ ทั้งที่นั บได้และนั บไม่ได้

ตัวอย่างเช่น

Do you have any questions?
(คุณมีคำถามอะไรอีกบ้างหรือเปล่า?)
** any นำหน้ าคำนามพหูพจน์

Is there any water in the bottle?
(มีน้ำในขวดบ้างหรือเปล่า?)
** any นำหน้ าคำนามนั บไม่ได้

ANY

2. การใช้ Anyในประโยคปฏิเสธ โดยจะมีความหมายว่า เลย
เพื่อเป็ นการเน้ นความชัดเจนของการปฏิเสธ

ตัวอย่างการใช้เช่น

I don't have any questions.
(ฉั นไม่มีคำถามอะไรเลย)
** any ก็ยังคงนำหน้ าคำนามพหูพจน์ ในประโยคปฏิเสธ

There is not any water in the bottle.
(ไม่มีน้ำอยู่ในขวดเลย)
** any ก็ยังคงนำหน้ าคำนามนั บไม่ได้ในประโยคปฏิเสธ

I could completely do this assignment without any
help.

(ฉันได้สามารถทำงานนี้ เสร็จสมบูรณ์โดยปราศจากการ
ช่วยเหลือใด ๆ)
** any สามารถนำหน้ าคำนามนั บไม่ได้ในประโยคบอกเล่าที่

ANY

3. การใช้ Any ในประโยคบอกเล่า เป็ นการใช้ในกรณีพิเศษ
กับประโยคที่มีความหมายว่า อะไรก็ได้, ยังไงก็ได้, ใครก็ได้

ตัวอย่างการใช้เช่น

Today, I'm free. You can call me any time.
(วันนี้ ฉันว่างนะ เธอสามารถโทรมาหาฉันตอนไหนก็ได้)

You can choose any dresses in my cupboard.
(เธอสามารถเลือกเดรสชุ ดใดก็ได้ ในตู้ของฉั น)

นอกจากนี้ any ยังสามารถนำหน้ าคำอื่น ๆ เหล่านี้ ได้เช่น
เดียวกับ some เช่น anyone, anywhere, anything เป็ นต้น
โดยมีความหมายว่า ...สัก... เช่น ใครสักคน ที่ไหนสักแห่ง
อะไรสักอย่าง เป็ นต้น ตัวอย่างเช่น

It's not easy to find anyone who loves me forever.
(มันไม่ง่ายเลยที่จะหาใครก็ได้ที่รักเราตลอดไป) หรืออาจ
จะแปล anyone ว่าใครสักคนก็ได้

Did you travel anywhere last week ?
(คุณได้ไปเที่ ยวที่ ไหนสั กแห่ งเมื่อสั ปดาห์ ที่ แล้วหรือเปล่า?)
