• The team captain is responsible for ensuring the roster is complete and

accurate!

Eligibility

• Who can participate? Must be a currently enrolled SHSU Student, Faculty, or Staff member
• Every player MUST bring their SHSU ID. NO ID = NO PLAY!
• How many Intramural Sports teams can I play for? Players may participate on 1 co-rec team, 1 Men’s Greek team, and 1 gender

specific team for each Intramural sport

• Can I have varsity players on my team? Ex-Varsity players must be 365 days removed from the last day of the last semester they

were on a roster. Spring 2013 collegiate players are not eligible, regardless of the school they played for.

• Can club players participate? Yes, however a maximum of two players are allowed on the roster for any IM Sports Team. This

includes male and female participants.

• If you are unsure of a player’s eligibility, ASK the Intramural Office Staff before they play!!!

Eligibility - Club Sports

• Club members shall be eligible for intramural participation in the sport of their specialty; however, members

are restricted to allow only two such participants on a team’s Intramural Sports roster. In addition, you must
play in the highest skill level division offered in the sport that you’re a club member of. For example, if you
play Club Basketball, you must play in the Competitive A division and the CoRec A division for Intramural
Basketball. The following guidelines will apply to determining whether someone is a “Club Sport” member:

• If you dress out for any game (i.e. scrimmage, conference, non-conference), you will be considered a club

member for that sport. It doesn’t matter how much you play, it only matters if you dress out.
• The Club Sports Supervisor will make record of every person that dresses out. You will be expected to give your name to the

Supervisor when asked.

• Once you dress out and are considered a club player, you are considered a club player for the remainder of

that academic year. For example, if you dress out for a club soccer game in September, you will still be
considered a club soccer player in April during the Intramural 7v7 soccer season.
