The 2020/21 Athletic Department
Yearbook Message is certainly different to
our previous years!

In a year that offered extensive closures, cancellations, postponements
due to the Covid virus, the CDNIS Timberwolves had to search for
other means by which our students and teachers could find some
sense of normality.

With our regular participation in the international and local leagues
being unavailable to us, we needed to be super creative to find ways
to align to the Timberwolves Code: Participation, Enjoyment and
Success. With no SEASAC, ISSFHK nor HKSSF available, it was
a challenge to find alternative means through which our community
could come together and participate in common
activities.

Steve Doleman “Together & Active” became our catch cry
this year as we sought to identify activities

that allowed the community to participate in common interests, yet respect the
social distancing measures in place.

The Together & Active Challenges for 2020/21
The CIPSA Step Challenges:
Teams using personal tracking devices to record their steps for one month
Two challenges for the year involving students and staff

Holiday Work Out Buddies
Buddies assigned to each to check in over the holiday period

Timberwolves Trickshot Challenge
Students download personal video of themselves performing their chosen skill
Three Competitions: Upper School, Transition Years and Lower School

Dance Challenge
Athletic Council challenges community to a dance off video

Sport Days Specials
Various sports offered on Saturdays for U12-U20 students A big thanks to the volunteer coaches!

We take this opportunity to thank CIPSA and Athletic Council for their continued support of the
CDNIS Timberwolves!

And we can now only hope for a different 2021/22!

Be Safe Timberwolves!

The Global Goals Clubs Council

e Global Goals Clubs (GGC) Council is the newly formed governing body of all Global Goals Clubs in CDNIS.
Some highlights of the work the GGC Council has been undertaking this year include actively supporting individual
clubs to undertake campaigns, organising and running the annual GGC Leadership Workshop the inaugural Hong

Kong SDG Summit.

“It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness”

“Striving to achieve global equality and awareness for those whose rights are being violated”

The Interact Club’s mission is to provide opportunities
for young people dedicated to service and international
understanding to work together to serve our community.

Interactors will learn the impor-
tance of developing leadership skills
and personal integrity, demon-
strating helpfulness and respect for
others, and advancing international
understanding and goodwill.

THE CONTAIN COVID CAMPAIGN

Amidst the pandemic, Interact created an online platform for
people around the world to have access to information on how to
make fabric masks, how to properly wash these masks, and how
to maintain proper hygiene in general

pre-pandemic

One of Interact’s main service initiatives is our English Programme.
Students who participate are given the opportunity to design their

own English lessons to teach to the Ap Lei Chau Primary School.

FAMINE12

Famine12 is a poverty-related simulation
facilitated by the Interact Club to raise aware-
ness and advocate for the 1.35 million people who
do not have access to basic needs in Hong Kon,
while also helping students gain a more nuanced
understanding of their circumstances through
experiencing it themselves.

The Yearbook Team

SENIOR EDITORS

Man, this year flew by. Though we are sad that this will be our last year, we want to
extend our gratitude to our amazing editing team! Thank you Erin, Harriet, Victoria,
and Megan -- we wish the best of luck to you all next year. Most importantly, it has
truly been an honour working alongside Ms Chang -- without her endless support,
we could be confident in saying this yearbook would not have been possible. We will
really miss working on the yearbook next year, and we hope you all enjoy looking
back on the memories of the hectic, unprecedented, and ultimately unforgettable year
that was 2020-2021. ;)

ASSISTANT EDITORS

Being able to be a part of the yearbook team has given us the opportunity to work with
many other talented designers and students. We’d like to thank Ms Chang for all of her
help and support, the senior editors Stephanie and Zoe for being amazing role models,
and Megan and Victoria for their unwavering commitment and dedication. This all
wouldn’t have been possible without you guys, and we hope that all of you enjoy the
yearbook!

JUNIOR ASSISTANT EDITORS

It’s been a hectic year for many of us. We spent half the school year on zoom yet still
managed to get a yearbook together! Big HUGE thanks to Ms Chang and all the other
editors, it has been a blast working alongside all of you. As our first year of being junior
assistant editors, it was stressful to get all the assignments done, but it was rewarding
after seeing the result. We hope all of you enjoy the yearbook this year, cause we
definitely enjoyed making it. :)

GRAD EDITORS

Even though our senior year has been anything but normal, we have still enjoyed
putting together the graduate pages for the Class of 2021. We hope that you all will
enjoy looking through the pages and celebrate all of our achievements alongside
us. Thank you to Ms Chang and senior editors, Zoe and Stephanie for helping and
supporting us through this process! Congratulations once again Class of 2021!
