SEA BLUE SADNESS PICTUREBOOK final

SEA BLUE SADNESS PICTUREBOOK final

Often times
there are
days . . .

That just seem the
brightest,

Can be the darkest,

and when that day
comes . . .

We will go on a journey

We will sail off
to an Island,

where no one can
find us, to find out
where we land.

A rarity, we held it
close.

Maybe it’s the uncertainty
of an outcome.

That have us feeling
appreciation,

Shame,
Fear,

and guilt.

But yet we come
back for more.

For the reason that, we
yearn for more happiness

But like the desire for
anything.

it can go bad
just as quickly.

Gradually it takes
away;

our
confidence,

compassion

and
strength.

It’s a pit
of

dissapointment
and

self-loathing.

It makes our
stomach churn

with no appetite.

It leaves us
awake with
only our

thoughts.

And again we return
to the vast seas,

we take and take,
all at once, it’s gone.

And that’s
where we’re
stuck in an
unrelenting

storm,

it’s harsh unwavering
wave, hits us and over-

whelms our core.

And down we go,
sinking.

Into a pit of loneliness, that
seems to go on forever.

Until we hit a point of realization.

that sadness can be
scary, but it will

never control us.

Because with
the bad, the
good follows.

And we’re reminded of
the things . . .

that loves us,

and the things
that made us love

them.

And i wish i could say i wanted the sadness to be gone, but without it
there would be no happiness.

And how
can we live
life to the
fullest if
there’s no
happiness?

Crystals are a great way to symbolize happiness,
it’s beauty and it’s rarity is something to behold, something precious.
and so is the sea, the sea is calm, morose but yet it could be harsh and
dangerous, a perfect way to represent sadness in the theme of depres-

sion.

Sometimes it’s hard to accept that depression is anything but bad, but
most artist are able to create something profound when they are emo-

tional or very passionate about something.

Often times, it’s hard to identify our feelings and have the courage to
talk to someone, i hope this book can help kids relate and voice their

troubles to someone, be it their parents or friends.

being vulnerable and open is scary, but its the first step towards the
path of self acceptance and self love.
