Dear VNO Team,

It is my pleasure to share with you the Meeting Minutes from the Line OPS

Peter Havasi – Wizz Air Hungary Chief pilot
Javier Martin Diaz – Head of scheduling and slots
Laszlo Onodi – Crew planning project manager/VNO base planner

Key messages to the base:

Appreciation for the dedication and engagement in operations during the
demanding high season

Summary:

Peter Havasi (Chief Pilot WAH):

• The visit in Vilnius is a part of a regular practice, visiting all the bases

• Appreciation was given from his side to VNO crew who has faced a lot of
challenges recently: from covid to summer peak flying issues, trend of

decreasing safety related occurrences despite the growth of the scale of
operations.

• SOP changes. SOPs got more comfortable as cooperation with Airbus was
established. In summary, we were the first airline which implemented
Airbus’ Big Bang.

• The presentation concluded with the achievement done in Flight Ops and
change of the command upgrade process which will be implemented
starting from January (or when the process is approved by EASA).

Dagmara Gondorowicz (Senior Flt. Ops. Regional manager North):

• presentation on WAPA (Wizz Air Pilot Academy) and cabin crew to
captain program, the program will be updated with some changes.

Laszlo Onodi (Crew planning project manager/VNO base planner):

• Expressed his gratitude for cooperation and endurance during the
demanding period. Sharing the news that there were zero cancellations
of flights due to lack of crew in Vilnius this year. Everyone in Vilnius was
willing to put an extra effort to make this happen.

• Great thank you from the OCC, who were impressed with Vilnius base
crew flexibility and dedication this year.

• Discussion on a trip trade issues. Offer was made to get a trip trade
ambassador from Vilnius, who would go to Budapest to spend some
time with him and OCC to see and experience how the system works, as
is hard to explain it trough e-mails. Evelina Kirpichenko volunteered for
this role.

• Trip trade has some extra buffets in the system: 890 flight hours is the
new limitation, cosmic radiation <6 mSV (the limit set by EASA, though,
it is not a hard limit that could not be overcome, it has been challenged
by Peter already). All this limitations and violations are been reviewed
constantly.

• Both flight crew requested to plan some routes (Yerevan, Kutaisi) more
equally among the crew. Also the question of payment for those routes
was raised. Both Denis and Peter confirmed that HR had already been
challenged on that. There HR promised to come up with a solution in
November.

DC1-Internal Data

• Cabin crew asked to plan Tel Aviv more equally among the crew. Laci
promised to plan Tel Aviv, Yerevan and Kutaisi more equally among the
crew.

• Laci asked cabin crew what kind of schedule pattern they would like to
have. All unanimously expressed a desire for random +4 CRDO.

• Quick reminder from Laci that short term planner and OCC deal with
flight that are in less than 72 hours. He deals with the rest. The request
or issues should be sent to him via Vanja or Denis.

• Aims NG (new generation) should be able to solve a lot of issues.

• Not to plan late arrival with a reserve on the same day and an early
departure on the next day. A lot of crew member find it very disturbing.
The answer from Laci: it is legal, however, Aims team has been
challenged with it already.

• Trip trade question: impossible to make a swap on a trip trade: early
duty with a late duty and vice versa. The answer: crew members’
preferences for an early or late duty is a restriction put in the trip trade.
It could be overcome manually by the planner.

• Optimal number for OOB crew in the following period is 1-2 Captains, 10
Cabin Crew per month at the moment.

• HR is challenged with OOB compensation, great circle distance
compensation issues, >5000 hours salary compensation. Dagmara is
working on 2023 improvement project: how to reduce delays, avoid
operations’ disruptions.

Javier Martin Diaz ( Head of Scheduling and Slots):

• Short presentation on the department and the flow of processes

• Question: why do we fly to Yerevan at night. Answer: to increase the
utilization of the aircraft.

• Many questions and suggestions and questions on routes from Vilnius
and ticket prices in order to be more competitive.

• The answer in summary: Economical situation forecast, Brexit, Fuel
price, non-profitable routes due to competition, Romanian Blue Air
collapse, the war, and the aim of the company to maximize the revenue
all together influenced the decision on number of aircrafts in VNO base,
cancelled routes and the development of the company.

DC1-Internal Data

• A suggestion to send commercial suggestions for better understanding of
the market to Denis, in order to channel them to the commercial
department. All suggestions are welcome and are appreciated.

• Vilnius base will remain a part of Wizz Air Hungary. No plans for Wizz Air
Malta for Vilnius right now.

Dmytro Yakovenko – Flight Ops resource coordinator:
• Difficulty to forecast the future. Usually the plans are made just for one
year upfront.
• 2 aircrafts in Vilnius for now. Summer peak: 3 aircrafts in Vilnius starting
from July.
• Nobody will be sent out of Vilnius. Only a few captains will be asked for
OOB sometimes.
• More simulator usage in Vilnius is planned.

Awards:

1. Valdas Aglinskas - 5 Year Anniversary Award
2. Julius Motiejunas - 5 Year Anniversary Award
3. Andzej Piatikonis - 5 Year Anniversary Award
4. Vytautas Kvedaravicuius - 5 Year Anniversary Award
5. Marius Dapsevicius - 5 Year Anniversary Award
