for you to participate in wellness education and activities. As you

Feeding Kind Souls,
Nourishing Young Minds
The Healthy Living Institute at UMC, with the support of
UMC’s Food Services department, served a delicious
and beautiful plated meal for Senior Celebrations
members in the community on November 17. For
many, this was their only time to celebrate, so
many thanks are to be given to those who
made this annual event a wonderful feast.
UMC’s Healthy Living Institute, with
support from UMC’s Foundation and the
Roots & Wings Foundation Grant, also
hosted a Teddy Bear Clinic at Explore
Knowledge Academy on November 15.
Fifty second-grade students participated
in this educational opportunity where they
had the opportunity to interact with hospital
staff in a fun and interactive setting.
Students received exposure to various
health care professions and
received injury prevention and
health education.
