INTRODUCTION

OF E-BOOK

The electronic publication of books as e-books was a
significant development that continues to cause
changes and ripples in the book publishing industry.
Over the last decade, e-publishing has grown rapidly.
New businesses have emerged with various strategies
and ideas for how e-books will be delivered. There were
numerous formats and e-book devices available at first.
People nowadays read e-books on devices known as
electronic readers. They can also be read on computer
and laptop screens, as well as mobile devices. E-book
readers are electronic devices that can store hundreds
of books at once. The cost of e-book readers and
tablets has decreased over time. With its popular
Kindle tablet, Amazon paved the way for the adoption
of e-book technology.

INTRODUCTION

Sungai Panjang is a mukim in Sabak Bernam District,
Selangor, Malaysia. sungai panjang is located close to the
seafront, the strait of melaka which is located 15 KM to the
west. The main economy of this area is the agricultural
sector, especially paddy. The area produces high quality
paddy, as a result of the use of high technology such as
plows and harvesters. The wetlands have been reclaimed
so that the stagnant sour water can be drained, so water
lines and water locks have been built in each area.

The main crop cultivated by the residents here is rock
melon. Golden rock melon is a large bright yellow
watermelon with a pale green to white inside. Golden
melon originated in Europe and Africa before spreading to
other parts of the world. This rather oval golden
watermelon has a smooth yellow skin, berlin, trade and
creamy white seeds, the fruit has a combined taste of
apple, watermelon and guava.

Golden watermelon is one of the essential minerals and
nutrients in our daily lives that we should take as such
vitamin c, calcium, vitamin A, fiber, vitamin B6 and omega-
3 & 6.

PLACES FOR VISIT

ROCK MELLON FARM

You can do site visit here and took part in
rock melon seed nursery activities. They
will learn about how to plant and manage

Rock Melon from early preparation,
sowing of seeds, tying a tree, pruning,
fertilization, pollination to harvesting. They
also can see demonstration on how to
make a Rock Melon juice and enjoy the

taste of Golden Rock Melon.

D SAWAH BENDANG HOMESTAY
After lunch, we will bring them to check-in
to the homestay. They will do refreshment

and its free and easy activities.

BITTER GOURD FARM
After settled free and easy activity, we will

do for a site visit at bittergourd farm
As soon as we came, the owner of the
farm gave a briefing about the Bitter
Gourd farm. Then we had Photo session.

FIREFLIES CONSERVATION CENTRE
After dinner, we go to Sungai Panjang Fireflies
Conservation Center for a sightseeing. Since it
is an education Package, they can gain more

knowledge about Fireflies since the firefly's
original habitat is destroyed and disrupted,

the change of wetlands to agriculture is
bound to endanger the population.

PLACES FOR VISIT

PADDY FIELD AT SABAK BERNAM
After breakfast, we will go to Paddy field for a

site visit since Sungai Panjang has many
beautiful and large paddy field. They can
enjoy the mesmerizing view of green paddy
field and they also can take photos as much

as they want.

INDUSTRI KECIL SEDERHANA (IKS)
After site visit at Paddy field, we will go to Industri
Kecil Sederhana (IKS). What can they do here at IKS
is to shopping for agro-based products and they
can admiring the hand-made crafts that produced
by the villagers themselves. IKS is the best place to
get souvenirs related to culture or heritage to the
places visited and then take it home as memories.

my name is Rahmad Safiq from Maju Tours and my license
number is 2010 your tour guide for today. How was your trip?
Good? All right. Kindly follow me on our way to the bus. Is
everybody good? All right. We’re going to be pulling up to your
homestay in just a few minutes. I kindly ask all of you to remain
in your seats until they come to complete stop.

Once we arrived at the homestay, please double check to
make sure your belongings have been taken off the bus. Just a

Good morning and as we say it in our language Selamat Pagi, it’s
your tour guide remember my name, my name is Rahmad Safiq.
On behalf of Maju Tours we will fly you to the Golden Rock Melon
Farm, the farm is one and only rock melon farm in Sungai Panjang.
On behalf of our coach captain Raju, say Selamat pagi to Mr Raju.
Now let’s do the head count, 1, 2, 3, 15. Excellent. Now we Maju
Tours, your safety is our utmost priority. I know you guys are all
excited but first I want you to remember (PLM) P stands for
precautionary measures always wear your protective gear such as
your face shield and your face mask, strictly follow social distancing
and remember do not leave your belongings unattended like your
wallets, your bags and your gadgets. For the next letter, letter L
littering is bad kindly be responsible for our trash and practice
(CLEGO), clean as you go. That’s right. And for the last letter and the
very important to remember is the letter M, make the most out of
your time and speaking of time, I think we should have the same
time, in my time it is 8:45 in the morning. Done? Okay great.
Another time friendly reminder is to know my signal if I wave this
flag up it means we have 20 minutes to roam around if I whistle
once it means that we only have 5 minutes left but if I whistle twice
it means that we are on to our next spot. Now by any chance that
you not feeling well I have here an emergency kit so kindly please

be a thrilling trip from the the best farm here at Sungai Panjang.
Based on our database itinerary as we enter the Sabak Bernam,
we’ll start off by visiting Golden Rock Melon Farm in Sabak Bernam
which is in Sungai Panjang. From Golden Rock Melon Farm we’ll
then go D’Sawah Bendang Homestay to check in the homestay
and put all the belongings there. And after that we’ll then go to
Bitter Gourd Farm, a Bitter Gourd Farm located in Sungai Panjang,
Selangor and by 9:00 PM or so we’ll go to our next spot which
isFireflies Conservation Centre which is the only fireflies
conservation centre here in Sabak Bernam, you’ll be mesmerized
by beauty of fireflies. And after that we’ll go to Paddy Field and
lastly to our last spot which is Industri Kecil Sederhana (IKS).

GOLDEN ROCK MELON FARM

Farm is a farm that has a series of a very unique fruit which
is only in Sungai Panjang, Selangor, Malaysia. It takes its
name from the fruit itself because of the goldenness colour.

here. Golden Rock Melon is also known as cantaloupe and
musk melon. They are related to honeydews, watermelons,
cucumbers, squash, and pumpkins. They are commonly
round with firm, scaly skin, greyish green buff rind skin. It
could grow to 13cm diameter and 14.3cm length with light
yellow colour and orange flesh. Golden Rock Melon has
nutrition such as vitamins A, B6 and C, also potassium,
niacin and folate plus the sensation when you taste it is
sweet, crunchy and fragrant when its ripe and seeded. Do

D'SAWAH BENDANG HOMESTAY

In your country I know you guys are really giving importance
to your accommodation because it is just like our home and
same here in Sungai Besar welcome to the scenic D’Sawah
Bendang Homestay. Looks beautiful, isn’t it? shall we go in?
All right. D’Sawah Bendang Homestay gives you the best
paddy field view homestay in town. Feel the comfortable
atmosphere of staying in the village in the homestay of
D’Sawah Bendang. The homestay is fully equipped with good
facilities and amenities such as television, ceiling fan, daily
housekeeping, private bathroom, free toiletries, and air
conditioning despite located in the middle of paddy field.
Not only that, but they also have house with 2 bedrooms
(small house), chalet, room (medium) and house with 2
bedrooms (big house). Moreover, it is also near to
convenient store and any local food restaurant.

all today and Welcome to Fireflies Conservation Center
Sungai Panjang.

Since we are in the firefly so before I release you to see
the scenery here. Allow me to explain a little bit about
firefly. So if you have any questions feel free to ask a
question soon.
Well, if you want to know, this Fireflies Conservation
Center is the one of the latest attractions in the Sabak
Bernam district. This conservation center is a protected
sanctuary for fireflies. The Conservation Center operates
daily from 6pm to 10pm. So if you want to visit here in
the future, you can visit at the time I mentioned a
moment ago. If you want to know, the ticket price to
enter the Sungai Panjang Firefly Conservation Center
varies according to age. The price for adults is RM 15.OO
while for children aged 3 to 11 years is RM 10.00. Fireflies
are winged insects that emit a flickering light at night.
Interestingly, here you can take a boat ride down the
river to see the sparkle of fireflies. The atmosphere of the
sound of insects can entertain your fellow night on the
boat.

Now we are at bitter gourd farm at Kampung Sungai
Panjang, Sungai Besar, Selangor. Any of you guys know
about Bitter Gourd? If no, never mind let me explain. Bitter
gourd is a tropical vine that belongs to the gourd family and
is closely related to zucchini, pumpkin and cucumber. In
addition to its sharp flavor and distinct appearance, bitter
gourd has been associated with several impressive health
benefits. Among them is full with important nutrients such
as vitamin c, potassium, carbs and fiber. You guys must
wondering the taste and the flavor of bitter gourd. Bitter
melon has a crunchy husk, like a green pepper, and a watery
texture, like a cucumber. But its weedy, alkaline taste is
unlike any other like fruit or vegetable. Now we will do for a
site visit at bitter gourd farm. As soon as we came, the
owner of the farm will give a more detail briefing about the
Bitter Gourd farm. Then we had photo session for memory.

PADDY FIELD

WELCOMING THE TOURIST:
HI, my name is raudah, you all must be wondering where we
really are. welcome to paddy field at kampung Sungai
Panjang Sabak Bernam.

As you can see, I wearing the hat because farmers use these
straw hats when doing work in the paddy fields. Right now,
we are at a paddy field. so, let's get closer. This paddy plant
is green, the leaves are long, small, wide and hairy like a
lemongrass tree, have a very short stem, the leaves are
striped, the roots are fibrous and the fruit is grain -shaped.
and if you want to know the differences between cooked
paddy and uncooked paddy, the paddy will ripen if the
colour of the software changes from green to brown, the
brown colour paddy, it means that the paddy can be
harvested and can processed into rice. Rice is one of the
major food chains, a grain crop and is a staple food for many
people in the world, including in Asia, Latin America and the
Caribbean. In Malaysia, paddy grown is divided into two
types, namely paddy field, and hill paddy. Paddy is the most
widely grown type of paddy because it can produce high
yields. Paddy fields need a lot of water and fertilizer and
need to be planted regularly.

COMMENTARY

PADDY FIELD

Paddy fields are widely grown in Peninsular Malaysia,
namely on the West Coast, especially in the North. as it has
flat swampy areas and there is a significant rainy season
with the average annual rainfall exceeding.the process of
paddy fields cultivation such as, plowing, sowing rice
seedlings, planting, cultivating, watering, and finally
harvesting rice. Facts about paddy it takes time to
harvested rice seeds is 100 days and above starting after the
paddy fields planting. while waiting for this paddy crop to
ripen, we here take precautions such as caterpillar poison
so as not to damage the leaves and rice plants, fertilizer is
also needed to strengthen the rice stalks and produce
denser paddy seeds.

Hi guys! My name is Nur Sabrina Sofi, I will guide you guys to
our next place to visit. Now we are at Industri Kecil
Sederhana or IKS. Do you guys know what is IKS? Let me
explain about IKS while you guys look around the shop. IKS
is basically an agro-based products that produced by the
villagers themselves. IKS are to boost the tourism industry
in this country and it is natural for tourist to get souvenirs
related to culture or heritage to the places visited and then
take it home as memories. What you guys can do here at IKS
is to shopping for agro-based products such as frozen food,
fish chips, fruits chips or kerepek, and any hand-made
crafts. IKS are also a type of business that assists villagers in
expanding their small industries and gives opportunity for
new small traders. IKS are also assisting in the expansion of
economic marketplaces and the tourism sector. The more
IKS that operate, the more opportunities for traders to do
business, and the more visitors that come to visit shops like
these.

HOW TO MAKE ROCK MELON JIUCE

Remove seeds from the melon and
cube them up.

In a smoothie maker/blender, add the
cubes, frozen banana cubes, sugar and
salt and blend until smooth.

If too thick, you could add some water
and add ice cube.
