Annual Program Planning Meeting 2021-2022
Since 1938, Jack and Jill of America Incorporated's vision has been to provide exceptional opportunities for African American children through
great programming. On August 8, 2021 at 1pm, the Fort Worth Chapter held our Annual Program Planning/Program Year Kick-off and Planning
Meeting at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. Prior to the in-person meeting, each grade group held Zoom program calendar pre-planning meetings
with IPPD Mavis Neal and PD Muckelroy. We opened with a prayer from Chaplin Coleman, and PD Muckelroy surprised the chapter with greetings
and well wishes from the South Central Regional Director Danielle Wesley and South Central Program Director, a former Fort Worth Chapter teen,
Michon King.
The FW Eboard brought greetings and briefly discussed topics of importance in their area of leadership. There were two planning sessions for
grade groups; this allowed mothers who have children in multiple grade groups to collaborate and provide input and feedback during the planning
process. The ultimate goal was to implement additional thrust into the existing pre-planned calendars and start the process of exploring the new
Financial and Leadership Modules Curriculum in Digital Cheetah. There were several ice-breakers, door prizes, hugs, and sisterly interaction at the
first formal meeting since Covid19 Pandemic started. The Teen Executive Board also had a retreat in the garden.

Annual Program Meeting 2022-2023

On August 14, 2022 @ 3PM, the Fort Worth Chapter of Jack and Jill of America will host an “Oh How Sweet It Is to Plan Again” Annual Program Planning
Meeting at a black owned bakery, Loft22 Cake. We will kick on the planning year with team building surrounding the theme, “Oh How Sweet It Is to Plan
Again.” We will enjoy deserts and make up a cute name for our name badge based on the desert they love the most; the name must be programming
related (Praline Delight Program Director…Fancy Fudgy@ Financial…Fudgy Founders Day). Regional and National leadership will be invited to bring
greetings.
Chaplain Ivy Coleman will open us up with a prayer. President Carr will bring presidential greeting. Vice-President Bell-Cook will welcome new mothers.
Program Director Michelle Muckelroy will facilitate the planning section. Mothers will sit with their grade groups and complete the calendar that we
started in pre-planning meetings.
Missing date, time, locations, and incomplete details will be our focus. Each grade group will decide how they want to address implementation of the
Financial and Leadership Curriculum. This year, mothers will be required to divide into small groups and write at least one grade group activity on large
chop paper for display. The top 3, well written, well thought out and completed calendar event will be voted on by dots and those groups will win a prize
will win a future pride for their grade group (ice cream party, smores kit, etc). Each board member will briefly discuss their role and way to assist with
making the program year run smoothly. The calendar will leave this meeting mostly complete
