Hybrid

Identifying a Hybrid design
If the design you require is not included in the standard product range, please see if it is included in the list of hybrid frame designs
with the prefix RH in the design guide.

Unlike the standard designs, the hybrid designs allow you to specify the use of each insert. Select the hybrid design you need and
then for every insert in the design specify its use from the following list:
• Fixed insert, non equal sightline
• Fixed insert equal sightline
• Opener - hung left
• Opener - hung right
• Opener - top hung

Please note that angled inserts must be fixed.

You can specify any combination of uses for the inserts, but the outer frame, transoms and mullions cannot change from
the designs shown.

Pricing a hybrid design
1. Calculate height plus width as normal
2. Refer to the standard price list for white or woodgrain uPVC casement windows as normal
3. Select the appropriate column in the table according to the number of inserts

Leaded Lights GLASS AND GLAZING OPTIONS

For maximum and minimum sizes and full details of the designs available please refer
to the appropriate page in the design brochure.

Lead strips having a nominal width of 9mm and an oval cross section alied to both faces of the outer glass of sealed unitsto give
the appearance of traditional leaded lights. In traditional leaded lights the glass is cut into diamonds and rectanglesand glazed into
the lead which works loose under wind or other pressure causing draughts and leaks and easy entry for burglars. The modern
method of applying lead strips to form the pattern does not have these disadvantages.
When patterned glass is required to be leaded the strip will be applied to the smooth outer side only. Add the patterned glass
surcharge and the leaded light surcharge.

Whatever the number of glasses within a unit the lead of a diamond pattern is applied from the centre point of the complete unit
continuing both horizontally and vertically through the glass in each insert.

The dimensions of the rectangular pattern are approximate – the size of rectangles is determined to suit the size of the windows
so avoiding odd shaped rectangles around the perimeter, except on uPVC windows where opening and fixed insert sight lines vary
unless equal sight line range is specified.
