An e-Career Module for Malaysian Vocational College students is developed to show a clearer career pathway by using interactive digital modules. INTRODUCTION


ABOUT OUR E-CAREER MODULE Among the purpose of this e-career module are to disseminate information related to the students' continuing education path to prospective vocational college graduates. This module could help increase students's knowledge about opportunities to apply for jobs in the public and private sectors as well as to assist students to sit for the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) as a special requirement for admission to local universities. In addition, it could also improve the entrepreneurial skills among students in preparation for the current competitive job placement and increase students’ motivation and enthusiasm to continue learning with clear career goals. Moreover, this module contains activities related to career guidance such as briefing sessions regarding employment application in public and private sectors, workshops for students to further studies and entrepreneurship workshops/seminars/talks.

Help students to develop career goals after graduation. SUB-MODULES FOR CAREER PATHWAYS IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR Vision ACTIVITIES: CAREER TALK PROGRAME: "MY FUTURE JOBS WITH PERKESO" Among the information that students could obtain at the end of the programmes are as follow: 1. Registration guide and how to find a job on the My Future Jobs Portal. 2. Tips for finding a job. 3. Ways and important information that should be included in a resume. 4. Proper etiquette for job interviews and future employment. 5. Tips before, during and after job interviews.


MOTIVATING CAREER READINESS Objectives: 1. Improving career skills in writing resumes that meet industrial requirements. 2. Increasing the employability rate of Vocational College graduates. 3.Motivating career readiness among Final Year Vocational College Students. ACTIVITY: STRENGTHENING CAREER SKILLS: RESUME WRITING WORKSHOP WITH PERKESO This program is carried out to improve skills in producing resumes that meet the needs of the industry for final year DVM students. The competitive process of job placement among graduates from various educational institutions needs to be given serious attention. Therefore, it is hoped that this program will be used as a platform for knowledge in structuring employability skills as well as improving vocational college graduates professional personality.


MOTIVATING CAREER READINESS ACTIVITY: STRENGTHENING CAREER SKILLS: RESUME WRITING WORKSHOP WITH PERKESO INVITED SPEAKERS: MR. AKHMAL BIN SAHARUDDIN AND MR. AZIZUL BIN HAQIEM PERKESO EXECUTIVES


ACTIVITY : CAREER PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION MOTIVATING CAREER READINESS This photography competition is aimed to motivate career readiness among the students after graduating from vocational colleges. Therefore, students will strive in achieving academic excellence and be competent in vocational skills. Having a career aim in life is important to drive their intrinsic power achieving their ambition. Autonomize students to chart their career ambition. SUB- MODULE FOR EDUCATION PATHWAY OF DVM GRADUATES TO PUBLIC UNIVERSITY ACTIVITY : CHIT CHAT :" UPU" WORKSHOP ("JOM MASUK U") Programme objectives 1.Giving information about the opportunity of public university admission with DVM certificate. 2. Providing understanding about the general and special conditions for admission to public university programs using the DVM track. 3. Maintaining the quality excellence and the percentage of KV Perdagangan graduates in the continuing education. This program is carried out to create opportunities for DVM students to continue their studies at Public Institutions of Higher Learning. Therefore , this workshop could help students to be aware and ready regarding the opportunities and understanding the requirements for admission to public universities in Malaysia.

Providing information about the MUET examination format. 3. Creating awareness about the importance of taking MUET. This program is carried out as a mechanism to disseminate information related to the MUET exam as a compulsary requirement for applications to public educational institutions.
