Daughter of King Ptolemy Auletes Cleopatra, was the last queen that ruled
Egypt. She had three younger siblings. They were Ptolemy XIII, Ptolemy XIV
and Ptolemy VI.

Cleopatra grew up speaking, reading and writing Greek. She also learned
many other languages.

When she was 18 years old, her father died. He left the throne to both her and
her younger brother, Ptolemy XIII. She was eight years older than her brother
and became the dominant ruler. The country was prosperous during her rule.

On 12 August 30 BCE, she died after she was bitten by a poisonous cobra at
the age of thirty-nine.
